If you were to shrug, where would you do it?

With the technology Big Brother has today (spy cams, GPS phone tracking, drones, etc.), it’s unlikely a Galt’s Gulch would survive hidden anywhere within U.S. borders.

Which raises the question: where do you shrug?

1. Blend in among the looters and moochers and hope no one notices?

2. Or find sanctuary in another country?

You know I once saw a cub, and heard mama growl. I never saw mama, never realy even looked for mama, I just stepped back slowly away from the sound and then when I was no longer close enough to hear, I just turned around and hiked back down the trail.

Moma bears are freaking scary creatures. :)

I agree with the basic concept, but like the moochers you fail to place the means ahead of the ends.

I wont take what I do not earn, even to collapse the system. I have thought down this same line before, but ultimately it comes down to this: How much are my principles, and right and wrong worth?

Paraphrasing one of my favorite lines from Atlas. You who will not let one impurity into your steel, yet what have you let into your mind? Be careful what you let in, it may forever change you.

Gun ownership is legal after background check. Many expats get. Can conceal carry.
Healthcare is good and inexpensive. Doctor visit costs ten bucks. Most meds available without prescription. Even John Hopkins has a hospital here.
And if you live here, can get inexpensive health insurance and opt out of Obamacare.

can you own firearms in Panama? what is the medical care like? I totally agree about blending in with the community and developing relationships with the local communities apart from expat enclaves. It gets expensive holding down a home abroad and one stateside, though.

My son loves TF2 along with Minecraft. He's all about Portal 2, which is an odd game. Not my kind though.

I can just hear the hysterical Libs in response: 'You can't do that! Aren't you into having "things"?!'

My response: I was born into this world with nothing, and when I leave, I will take nothing. I acquire stuff and lose stuff. I covet nothing.

No. But they do like the exploding Monkey toy if you throw one out in COD. They'll stop pursuing you (briefly) and gravitate to the toy. My son is good at it. Good times.

I was hanging out this past weekend with my friend who fled with her family from Iraq. She will confirm all that you have posted on this subject, and then some. She despises the Islamists, and knows first hand what ther agenda is.

Once again, uncommon, WOW!! Awesome comment!!
