I was going to college in Anouther state before I moved I got a school loan and immediately was sending payments in. It took me 3 years to pay back a 4000 loan and I have my paper work showing I paid it off and. 3 years later the college contacted me stating I have an outstanding bill with them still and I was in shock..I paid it off and told them about my paper work and they told me that the paper does not count. So at this point I'm thinking it was a scam until o filed my taxes and they took the money out of my taxes so its like I paid double for one loan and they surpassed everything I had and took my taxes..I was highly upset that I been ripped off for trying to get an education in nursing. I'm not in nursing now everything I had was ripped away from me so at the end someone did some fraudulent things and I happen to be the target..student loans are a scam and I will never go back to get scammed again..I don't know who to talk to so I'm here..

The IRS wouldn't give your refund b/c of it? Why don't you first go to your employer and ask to update your W-4 form, increasing the number of allowances. That will decrease withholding, so you won't have a refund, so the IRS can't do it again.

Then go to the IRS and argue you don't owe the money. It will probably be a royal pain in the neck just to find out which agency has the authority to place the IRS lien (or whatever it is that allow them to garnish tax refunds) and what the process is for getting it removed. If it turns out you do legally owe the money, because of some bogus law or something, and it's just a few thousand bucks, I would pay it and move on.

Maybe you can find a hospital or nursing home with a tuition reimbursement program for employees. If in ten year's you are nurse with a specialization in addition to the RN and have no student loans, the amount they scammed you out of will seem like peanuts. If you go your whole life only getting robbed or scammed out of a few thousands dollars, you're shooting par.

No Grants for Anyone...let me repeat...No Grants for Anyone.
Leave it up to individuals what and where they want to donate and somehow, we need to figure out how to stop funding from known anti American sources, ie, georgie poo sorass and the like.
