Even if he did....it is a legitimate course of action against a competitive nation...who cares! Obama tried to influence the Israeli elections because he viewed them as a competitor, He sent money and experts to the opposing party people and actually mentioned it in speeches. Besides....when talking about diplomacy, it is best not to look too hard at the past...which cannot be changed. Trump took this view with N Korea. No point in getting snotty with competitors about the past...unless you are in a position to conquer them. Best to make nice and hope you can convince them to be better, while at the same time punishing any negative current activity.

Obama also did his damnedest to influence an election right here in the good old U. S. of A. By unleashing the IRS on anything that even remotely smelled conservative, he intentionally tried (and probably succeeded, at least to a degree) to slow down the money being spent against the Hildabeast..

So why isn't the admittedly uber-liberal media going ape shit over the former President influencing the election that would determine his successor?

Oh wait, never mind. I keep forgetting that the ends justify any means proggies use to accomplish their goals.

We absolutely have two sets of laws in this country. Look at how Paul Manafort is being treated.....23 hours per day in solitary confinement. Prosecuted in multiple jurisdictions. How do you mount a defense under these circumstances. We might next see him in a mental institution....This almost happened to Dinesh Desuza. He was referred to a Psychiatrist! This used to happen in the Soviet union! This would never happen to a Democrat. The news would be going 24/7 on how he was separated from his children.

comparing Manafort and Desuza is silly … Manafort sided with the pro Russian Ukrainian Government and was paid … the Revolution for Dignity threw out the putinites and Manafort's' buddies.... Manafort is scum

I am not comparing them...They are however both being treated as conservatives by the law in our bifurcated system.. Dinesh because he is a real conservative, Manafort because he has a tenuous connection to the Trump Campaign and is seen as a possible weak link that can be exploited in to making up states evidence..

Unless they actually were hacking into voting machines via the web or doing so physically, or paying people to change votes, there is no tampering, only influence. All governments spend money to influence other nations elections.

Paying people to change votes...you mean like ACORN? But then, it's not hacking when you're electing the first Black, Woman, Gay, Lesbian, Trans, (fill in the blank) to the Presidency.

I mean physically changing the vote...like pulling off chads in Florida or writing code that deliberately routes to the opposite choice, actual interference. Not influence like buying signs for a counter group, or paying for street protestors, paying speakers to talk on the radio or TV.

The KGB regularly paid and otherwise supported the various "peace" groups during the 70s-80s. I do not recall the "progressives" wailing back then. Comrade Ted "Swimmer" Kennedy even tried to do a back-door deal with Andropov - he would give help dealing with Reagan and the USSR would help Ted in the 1984 election.

This is what I told my sister when she presented me with an article from an Objectivist who is anti-Trump. She said I did not honor her vision for America: "I honor her opinion very much. You and the others on the left are her antithesis and in my opinion you have no idea what you are saying. You are someone who has read Atlas Shrugged many times and just doesn't get it. Many, and I mean many of us Ayn Randers appreciate our President very much. and in many of our opinions, the best we can do for right now in our history. To have a real constitutional minded president who loves liberty, self-made men, (and women), Capitalism as our form of gov't, one who does not embrace socialism and enslaving half of the country to work for the other half would be just about impossible right now. These are the things Ayn Rand would look for. This man or woman does exist, but would never make it in our political nightmare of a world. It will have to crash and burn first so it can rebuild from the ashes. Just look at what our President has gone through."

I'm willing to agree that Russian operatives did what all other countries do and tried to get into our election process to influence the outcome. Weather Putin had any direct involvement is inconsequential. Weather or not the Trump campaign was in collusion with any Russian actors is what the Special Counsel is in place to investigate and after almost $20 million spent we hear squat on that front. The Democrats on the other hand certainly were colluding with the Britts and Russia to destroy Trump yet we see no investigation into that or all the assistance they were getting from the FBI, CIA and DOJ. No wonder why all these intelligence agencies are refusing to hand over the records that will clearly show the coup against Trump they were involved in. Starting at the very top with BHO, Kerry, Clintons, Brennon, Lynch, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, Mueller, Strzok, Page and a bunch of other good soldiers plus the MSM and the DNC and they all have a lot to keep hidden. I am not so sure they all hate Trump nearly as much as the fear him as he turns over all the rocks these swamp creatures are hiding under. Make no mistake, we are surrounded by those in high places that do not have the best interests of the American people in their hearts. I fear for the safety of DJT and his entire family because he has poked the dragon right in the eye.

I am beginning to fear that the swamp can not be drained. It seems that too many have sold their souls. I have often wondered what the underlying theme of the zombie fad was. I dread that these zombies foretell the overwhelming sell out of our liberty and our life for a vacuous, stifling and feckless existence under the yoke of the one world order.

        Agree.

The "swamp" mentality has been the standard in DC and in Gov for a long time. I had a friend who was a nice guy until he ran and was elected to Congress. He changed from one day to another. He said he went there to "do good". But was soon educated that "no, no, you are in this for yourself". Forget who elected you and representing them.

It is an existential issue so no surprise they are defending it tooth and nail. Specifically, because they have no alternative course other then dropping off the grid.

It seems to me that our "Intelligence Agencies" overstepped their intellectual boundaries and stepped on their own peckers. Strzok was thinking with his other head with Page and it never fails. Those here who remain studly should take a note from this dork and keep it where it belongs.
Trump was not elected for Sainthood or for being the Messiah Obama never was. He was elected to do a job that needs to be done before this nation crashes and burns. Those who have the most to lose are in full blown fear that he alone will expose the ills of many previous administrations and right this ship. He is alone except for US and there has never been a time in my 66 years when our elected leader needed us more. I could never pull a lever for any democrat and hate myself when ever I pull a lever for a RINO but I will do my part to maintain the majorities in both houses as long as Trump is at the helm. All of this blather about meddling and collusion is just that, BLATHER. Trump stepped out of the lap of luxury to do a job that needs to be done and I don't much give a shit about his ulterior motives. He turned his life and that of his entire family to pure shit for US and we ought to damn well appreciate it because I can't think of another politician who has ever done what he is doing. The man is swimming up shit river through thousands of turds and gaining for us all. It is all about the numbers folks and if you can't add then just look at the numbers because we have never in my life seen them better.

Thanks Gary ... I can hear your frustration with all of this and I am on the same page. Individually -- I think that we can make a beachhead... Example: when my ultra liberal Seattle running friends and associates make sounds regarding their causes (tents for the homeless), taxes on employers for the homeless, minimum wages (Yes, this is All Seattle, All the Time) ... I make my own voice heard. I had remained quiet on this in years gone by ... no more. They are going to hear that there is another side to the story -- a side with reason and accountability.

I am in the same conditions here in NY PIX. At this point I don't even bother arguing with my liberal acquaintances, Note that I did not call them friends!
Instead I simply make my feelings know and offer them a glass of Kool Aid while me and my friends are having a beer. They just don't get it and are constantly espousing for more cops, more laws, more prisons and more entitlements and in their next breath they gripe about the NY Tax Rates. I can't fix STUPID!

Trump knows Putin is guilty. Then why does he take Putin's side? It is a finesse. One that I have used various times. Instead of having faith in a President who has proven his credentials over and over he is still being excoriated by not only the Dumocrats but by top Republicans. If they let this play out their jaws will drop as to the result. "Keep your family and friends close, but, keep your enemies closer. "Nuff said.

Hell no, they'd never release any information on that subject because they probably only have some opinion. Any opinion is okay today as long as it hurts Trump.

The media should be kept out of some big news issue like Trump's meeting with Putin. Then someone should leak the lie that Trump walked out on Putin because Putin denied involvement. When the media slams Trump for it, let it go for about a week, then say that was only a possible scenario that leaked, and then see how the media changes their tune. It's the same old crap on anything Trumps does or doesn't do. This whole political and media fiasco is a farce, and I'm getting tired of it. I'm going fishing.

First of all, hacking into unsecure Emails and extracting truth from them and exposing that truth to the american people is hardly "meddling"..

Real meddling is doing things that are to be kept hidden from the voting public so as to change the election !! Hillary and the DNC did THAT in spades. She lost because she is crooked, and one way or another, that came out over the years and thanks also to Wikileaks.

Trump won, and the election is over. We should get on with it and let him do what he was elected to do.

So whatever Russia or people inside Russia or other countries did, I dont see ANY untruths that were filtered into the lead up to the election at all. To that end, I have to applaud the hackers and Wikileaks for telliing us what was really going on. The DNC and Hillary were just not smart enough to hide what they to avoid detection. (That mistake will never be made again).

Why doesnt anyone say these things? Instead they go after Russia as the scapegoat. I want MORE transparency, and if the perps wont give it to us, its up to the hackers to let us in on the chicanery.

Absolutely. You want a respectful relationship if for no other reason that to be able to keep a mistake from resulting in missiles flying. You want Vladimir to call Donald and tell him not to worry that they had a computer error and it accidentally put their military on alert- but they fixed it and no missiles will launch- and vice-versa. There have been situations like that already in years past !!!

politics has a strange business model. Its a way to exert power, but at the price of having to watch your back all the time for others who want that power. I do think that Trump got into politics to actually do something good for the country, but has had a rude awakening that the swamp he talked about is a LOT deeper and wider than he ever thought- requiring a LOT of defensive maneuvers to keep from being knocked out. Its a shame, since the country suffers.

Actually, politics is like anything that's competetive.
Even things that might never cross your mind. When you see a symphony orchestra and there are more than one player of a particular instrument, let's say, the French Horn. There are 3 of them in most symphony orchestras, but only one of them is the lead player, who gets to do any solo work and is responsible for the French Horn group. However, the younger player next to him is looking to take his seat. Why? More prestige and more money. This is true in every part of the orchestra. There is always someone looking to be the top dog in any chosen field, whether it's in politics, art, retailing, or a hospital staff.Politics is supposed to be non-self serving. In a democracy, it represents the people. But how many politicians put their own ambition ahead of the people? Once you understand that, you understand just about everything you need to know about politicians.

All of this discussion is simply a waste of time and energy, purely boarding the train of the Deep State's smoke and mirrors tour. Every country attempts in some manner to influence the elections (and fake elections) of its competitors. Who cares? We need to learn the facts and the names of those within our Fed that have for years intentionally been taking advantage of their positions to disenfranchise the American citizens. We need them outed and punished. If the Russians did succeed in providing visibility to main street Democrats with regard to the dishonest actions of the DNC, we should give them (the Russians) a big thank you.

We have proof Obama submitted the one page FISA request specifically to spy on Trump, which was denied, until they came up with the phony Russian dossier and redid it. I have heard no proof offered as to who in russia meddled from Russia, we need WikiLeaks!I do know that Obama used our money to try to oust Bibi, succeeded in Canada getting his man, and actually put Marxism in Central America to the detriment of the residents. He was not out spreading democracy, rather Marxism. Why is that okay, but Russian expected meddling not? If Hillary had not set up her own server hacked by many, it would not be open season on our cyberware. China hacked government computers during Obama, no squawk on that. The government spies on us, China spies on them, why not expect the same of Russia, and acting mouthy on a vist, as did Chris Wallace, is not going to stop it. Who is going to stop Obama, as he is still going rogue and trying to oust leaderships, including the sitting POTUS?

Reading the Constitution, requirements are that both persons who signed the candidate's birth certificate must be American citizens. Good catch! Grandpa paid the Obama from Africa to come over and sign the certificate, he had been here under some kind of CIA program as a young man, but was not a citizen - and likely not the real dad. Telling Gramp's CIA superiors that daughter was pregnant by a commie porn writer with a wife was not going to og over well, so hire someone to sign the thing.

Meanwhile Charles Marshall Davis, likely daddy, taught Barry all about communism from age 10 on. Ayn Rand is rolling over in her grave.
The Gulch defends a Russian dictator and his sycophantic lackey against all of America's intelligence agencies.

Do you think our guys are incompetant or just party hacks?

I've always figured that most everyone who works at the FBI, CIA or NSA would be a pretty strong patriot.
I can't imagine the work would appeal to anyone who isn't.

But you'd take the assurance of a former KGB Director, hell-bent on returning his country to one-party rule, over the portfolio of evidence collected by some of our smartest, most true-blue, front-line warriors.

Because they won't show you the top-secret files.

You demand they "Show me the proof!" - knowing the files will not be released to the general public - rather than accept the obvious.
These same files have been seen and accepted by congressional overseerers from both parties.

Perhaps you should take a more dispassionate look at what you do know but refuse to see.

Clinton did spend campaign money paid to Perkins Coui to FussionGPS Who funneled $ to foreign agent Christopher Steele who paid Russian agents for dirt on Trump that was the phony dossier that was given to the FBI and used to start the Witch Hunt.
2 years $30 million spent investigating and zero Russian collusion evidence against Trump.

Meeting with Putin is simply a pragmatic response to the power and size of Russia. Same with China. Talking does not equate with action. The purpose of discussion is to lay down what WE want, and what THEY want so there is no confusion and mis-steps resulting in accidental war. I am sure thats what Trump did in his private meeting. We arent going to change what Russia WANTS, although by setting down lines in the sand, we might modify what they DO.

Trump is not an objectivist and never claimed he was. A true Objectivist would never be elected today, and in fact wouldnt ever WANT to be elected in the USA under the present situations.

Trump was the best of two definitely imperfect choices, and I hope he can slow the advance of socialism for at least a few years. Hillary would have been a disaster, basically selling access to the power of government to the highest bidder in the clinton foundation.

You missed the main thing these Zero's don't have, Tolerance! The minute they see they are losing an argument, believe me they see it, they go into their BS mode of uncontrolled rage with name calling and beat downs they can't actually get done but like the sound of.

My first reaction was to report the post, but then I realized this is how the facts are established, but letting them broadcast their feeble and prejudiced minds. So far every accusation and act they have accused the right of has only been a reflection of themselves. More "people" are moving right than left, that's about all we can ask for, but we have to let them continue to show how they think and what's really in their heart (if they have one).

Reporting the post is in effect "Shutting down the conversation" That is their tactic. We do much better by beating them with their own broom. Zero is entitled to his own opinions and I remember a few days back when someone posted that Antifa was planning on going to the MC Rally in Sturgiss and planning to shut it down. Believe me, Antifa does not have the balls to go where the folks actually fight back, kick ass and don't take names.

Do you call all Objectivists leftists?
I voiced nothing but the mainstream Objectivist position.

I pointed out that Trump supporters on this site have repeatedly ignored Objectivist criticisms from our most trusted journalists.
I pointed out good reason why one should believe our intelligence agencies rather than Putin's assurances.
I pointed out that Trump supporters now dominate this Objectivist site even while eschewing basic Objectivist tenets.
I pointed out that you now claim a mantel to which you have no right.

You called me a Leftist and ignored my points.
            Whatever, dude.

Oh, and just to have it said, like all good Leftists I have voted Republican since 1984.
But I'm not particularly proud of that. You see, I'm an Objectivist - not a Republican.

Have you ever read any of Ayn Rand's books? I can't even imagine someone like you being able to get half way through any of them without having some sort of major breakdown.

Do I sound like I've read her books. Do I sound uttterly ignorant of Objectivism.
I have read most every word she has written. And, apparently unlike some, I even understood them.

With that said, what lapse or logical error would you like to point out?
                Put up or shut up.

I'll shut up, I don't have the inclination or time to go back and forth with you, there are too many fish to catch and I don't have that much time left. I hope you have a wonderful life in the country you wish to change it to. I had a wonderful life growing up in the early 40's and 50's, we didn't have to worry about all the issues there appear to be today. People just got along and lived their own lives with even little knowledge of those who were obviously gaining control of our lives. I've seen a lot of change over the years and to me it is not for the better. You can win, I gotta get some rest, fishing starts again at 5am tomorrow.

What I know is not to trust any of them.
The intelligence agencies don't need my personal private information, but instead of honoring the privacy of Americans that they are supposed to be working for they claim "if you have nothing to hide you don't have to worry. Trust us."
I saw what the fedgov did at Ruby Ridge and Waco, murdering Americans who had hurt no one and threatened no one. "Trust us."
I see an investigation that has taken over a year and is filled with biased people who are supposed to be unbiased. "Trust us."
I see FBI agents writing that they will prevent the people from having the president they have elected. "Trust us."
I see the media constantly making claims against the administration without any evidence. The same media that protects democrats who created a phony file to use as an excuse to spy on a presidential candidate that opposed them. The same media that has publicized leaks from the FBI that has no basis in fact, but harmed the GOP candidate and/or assisted the Dem candidate.
Yes, you're damn right I want proof.
It's naive to accept anything that politicians say or the media publish without evidence regardless of whether the politicians are domestic liars or foreign liars.

The only way to regain our liberty is to reduce the power of the federal government.

If our intelligence agencies were so great, why didnt they upload the crooked hillary and bill emails, expose the things hillary did to sanders, and bring out all the dirt that Wikileaks did?

We want transparency, not selective hiding of what we should know prior to an election

      Hmmm
So, did a former Mexican President give his middle finger to Trump on national television? Was that meddling in our election?

Did various European and other world leaders make comments about our election? Were some USA voters influenced by such commentary? No doubt some small amount of votes were influenced. That is all normal.

Yet, some emails were released from the DNC for all to see. Honest, actual emails that revealed some info that made H. Clinton and Democratic leaders not look so good. It matters not to me if the release was done by or assisted by some Russian spies or not.

And, Trump met with the Mexican President while campaigning. Was that collusion? Actually talked to the guy, in person.

No votes were directly altered. This is all much ado about nothing.
