Posters who appear for short stints...

I have been a regular of just a few internet forums over the past several years and I have noticed something interesting. See what you think. Ever notice that when a thread comes up that addresses a topic the progressives hold dear that people you've never seen on the forum pop up and start arguing in favor of the progressive slant? Then, when the thread dies they disappear - "poof'. I've seen this pattern over and over for quite some time. I have also seen it, with less tact, in social media. I find it very interesting. I've always heard that there are paid posters, but thought that concept was far-fetched...until recently. The favorite topics are - transgenderism, forced medical treatment, immigration, government schools, and even pedo. On these I regularly see input from people I've never noticed before. In the forum of facebook they can get downright nasty. I think it's something to mull over...

I have not been posting much lately. But not due to lack of interest, I have just been busier than hell with a new gold project. And one that is nowhere near any sage grouse!

I have not been posting for the last...almost a year, I guess, so I am not as aware of this as you are (and I don't do social media). I think that your observations are likely, though. I could counter that I occasionally post on io9 (flamingly liberal site) on matters of my interest, which might give them the 'ghost' impression of me.

LOL. I know...sometimes I think, "Hey...am I really seeing this?..." But, after seeing it for a few years of paying attention I am thinking, "Yep. I'm really seeing it." Check out the names that pop up. There are always new, short-lived members. (insert Twilight Zone music here...)

I am sometimes dismayed to find that my tendency towards paranoia, which I keep sternly controlled, is not only correct but inadequate.

It exhibits a lack of morals and ethics. With anonymity one can revert to savagery without consequences. Many things written would evoke the wrong end of a fist if said in person. Paying someone to be a propaganda distributer might be termed as operating in their self interest but not certainly ethically.
