Its fun reading all the different reviews on AS2. Some have tried to do their job objectively but many have allowed their own belief system to get in the way. I have read that some found the movie boring and lacking in action. AS2 stimulates the mind and forces us to think. Its frightening how few movie goers appreciate that.
America is how it has always been and how it will always be. Comfortable and easy. ...Oh look...a pretty butterfly....over there.....
When I entered the Gulch you asked me for a joke. I like this one. An 80 year old man is fishing when he hears "pick me up". He looks down and sees a frog. He asks "did you say that". The frog says "yes pick me up". The man picks up the frog and the frog says " kiss me and I will turn into a beautiful woman". The man puts the frog in his pocket and continues to fish. The frog says "hey, kiss me and I will turn into a beautiful woman". The man says" at my age I would rather have a talking frog".
This is a war, its a war of words and philosophies but to call it anything less is a lie. We cannot afford to put our relationships above the war, people need to be jarred, told uncomfortable truths and when things go the way they will and you are proven right those people with whom you planted the seed will find there way back. Just be willing and ready to talk to them, you cannot be the one to shut them out.
To state it much more strongly. Those that say it does not matter whom we vote for are quitting and are part of the problem. To put it in a sense of Atlas they are like the good productive people that in the face of a failure do not get back up and fight some more. I respect both Hank and Dagny far more than I do John Galt.
I also believe we will see a roman style decay of the US until it decays to the point that the reforms needed are possible, but that will not stop me from voting.
Romney is infinity better for every american than Obama. I have always counted Wilson our worst president ever, and I think Obama has out done him. The thing that really pushed me over the edge on this is his blaming of the ambassadors death on a video and then putting the american people on the train tracks and distancing the government from it in front of the UN. It was the straw that moved him from second worst, to worst president in my mind.
To say that a vote does not matter when selecting a president that is the worst ever, or one that will move us slightly back the direction we need to go is the choice, that is simply quitter speaking. Stand up and be counted.
We wont undo everything since the sherman act in a presidency. People are not ready for that. It will have to come in small steps, much like our freedoms were removed, that is if it can be done in peaceful ways that do not collapse us. That will largely be the choice of whom you vote for.
If you are for small government and do not go vote, you are voting for large government.
Go vote.
I concur, even though I am repulsed by the continual lack of choice beyond the lesser of two evils.
We have a contest between two statists; one with a capital S and one with a small s. At least Romney is talking about reducing the size of government. A smaller government is a weaker one, one we can have greater chance of reducing further to its appropriate size over time.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me a thousand times, shame on me a thousand times.
You are right that Waiting is not the answer.
In the end, we may just disagree.
