Thanks for waiting so patiently, friends. My heart and mind have been here in The Gulch for over 40 yrs, but unfortunately not my hands and feet.

I have been inspired to jump in by having been invited to speak at this year's Atlas Summit - an event I have yet actually attend. (See my speaker profile: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts/2f...)

I am honored and excited about the adventure of participating in The Summit, sharing a nugget of my gold there as a speaker and not least, finally joining this community of my spiritual brothers and sisters. More shall be revealed.

I enjoy (and possess ;-)) a complex personality. I dabble in poetry and prose myself...

Sorry I won't meet you f-f, but will enjoy getting to know you just the same. I am sure they will have a recording of my talk at the Summit. I hope you will watch and offer your thoughts.

When did you first encounter Rand?

I can't make it. I am almost 81 and disabled, but while my body stays here, my mind travels the world through the internet.

    Welcome to the Gulch.
I have had a career somewhat similar to yours, having successfully started or been in several enterprenureal endeavors. (Did I spell that right?) I will be interested to get your take on things.

Bad news, good news. I flunked another test. :'( But, given my S. O. P., every time I flunk a test, I get smarter by at least one fact or concept or principle. I will go reread the speech. I indeed rwad the book, but maybe 35 years ago.

My original reference was more to Dagny's grand 1st entrance.

It was a test. Ayn Rand gave a graduation speech at West Point in 1974 which was also published in her book of the same name "Philosophy: Who needs it". I thought you were the astronaut that crashed landed on an unknown planet. It is worth the effort to read the whole speech.

Thank you, Kind Suh (or M'lady?). I am more of a stander than a sitter, but I will certainly share my thoughts - with pleasure. Cheers

Crash landed huh? Hope to hear from you again unlike the astronaut in the parable. I think I know your three answers but would like to hear more about the results.
