Everyone claims that their religion is the only "true" one. But most allow for people to choose for themselves. Islam is one of the few which explicitly sanctions the use of violence in "converting" people and in punishing those who wish to defect. They also completely sanction violence against non-believers.

Christians and Jews hold that God will ultimately resolve everything and so hold back from initiating violence. That's why there are no more Coptic Christians - they've been systematically hunted down and slaughtered by Islam.

Of note, Thomas Jefferson also recognized that Islam represented an existential threat to the United States (and any free people by extension) as a result of their ideology. And while he goaded Congress into creating the first US Navy and Marines to combat and destroy the Barbary Pirates, he wrote privately of his doubts that this would do any more than delay the ultimate reckoning. He has proven to be quite prophetic on that count.

Knowing that every Israeli adult serves two years in the army (including Wonder Woman actress Gal Gardot), up until now I had the wrong impression that Israeli citizens were armed to the teeth.
Like they should all be surrounded by Muslims who want them dead. Seems even old dino learns something new every day.
