I've had a couple of close calls. I am blessed with good night vision and I usually see their eyes flashing back a long way down the road.

The most amazing deer miss I ever saw was when I was following a friend who was hauling a trailer with a full size civil war cannon behind his pickup. We were going down a side road in the dark at about 35mph and a deer darted out on his left and leaped between the truck and trailer (yeah! over the hitch!) and never got hit! It made a perfect landing and ran into the woods on the right. My wife in the passenger seat screamed and shouted, "Holy Sh*t!!, did you see THAT!??" Yeah, I did!

I've been getting some good picts from And We Know...he does a great job on them...hard to screen print them while they're flying by on his video introductions.

I almost hit one last night. Even with the new improved headlights on my truck, I almost didn't see her. Good thing she didn't double back...I missed her...
