Several years ago, my wife and I were flying from Sacramento to Denver and as I remember it, it was on Frontier (?). There was a bad winter storm in Denver and we landed in Pueblo. After about 1/2 hour, we noticed that the crew was gone. A few of us got up and began looking around. The crew had just abandoned us and grabbed another flight out to somewhere.

We went to the terminal and no-one was there either. We were on our own, along with a couple of other plane loads. No bus, no representative, no explanation. Luckily we were able to get a rental car and go on, getting home the next day - but no pizza, not even any peanuts.

Pizza is the perfect way to make a crowd happy. I have used this method many times.
