More power to them! Not a fan of the "in". I find it all extremely ridiculous how they all fall all over each other for the fads, and crucify people like this guy for free thinking. Even funnier, how many of these youngins, off social media are gonna start wearing Any Rand shirts now and make that a point less fad? Ugh, the desperation of our society is frightening!

Maybe Oscar just does not want to appear in a Tarantino flick or be invited to the vapid conversations of all that many Hollywood cocktail parties
He was in Ex Machina, which I recently rented and highly recommend.
I plan to see that latest Star Wars next week during a school day afternoon.

In my opinion, the media starts the stupid trends.

Whether its social media or conventional media they all need something to "report" on. When stories are slow in coming they have never been above manufacturing their own stories and trends out of whole cloth if necessary.

The the people pile on to be "in"

I just want to know who starts all these stupid trends? Like the mustache thing. Sadly I spent an entire day on the internet searching for the meaning of it all. The only intelligent answer I found was a line from a book relating mustaches to individuality. Wow, so every lemming is wearing mustaches to be individuals... Need I say more. God forbid anyone think anymore! I have gained some weight over the last couple years so I needed to do some clothes shopping. Same thing, it is all the same, styles, colors, cuts, lengths, no individuality! I am so irritated by it all. I told my husband if I need a dress or pants suit in the near future I am having it made, to fit me, and I will get the material. The conformity in all things is out of control.

Makes sense to me that that the liberal press would be getting their panties in a bunch over this. They would wipe every reference to Ayn Rand out of existence if they could. Back in the 70's, it was Rush putting the liner note "With acknowledgment to the genius of Ayn Rand" in their album 2112. That alone guaranteed the eternal hatred of rock music critics, because they introduced the works of Ayn Rand to a new generation.

Sounds like we need to send this guy an invitation and some more t-shirts! What great publicity! I hate to say it but it is even better if main stream media hates us, they will talk about it longer and their children might pick up a good habit for once, like picking up a book instead of a new blog sight. If our world made any logical sense, Atlas Shrugged and many other books like it would be on both college and high school required reading lists!

I have my beliefs and convictions, as do we all. But I'm confident enough in those beliefs and convictions that I'm not afraid to discuss and debate them with someone who disagrees.

In all of the stories like this, a central theme keeps appearing. I keep seeing people who won't even acknowledge--let alone converse about or debate--any position different than their own.

Their reality won't allow even the concept of the existence of any perspective or argument that might change their minds.

I honestly can't even begin to imagine what the world looks like when one sees it like that.

It's not silly, Zen. It's how they control the dialogue and the minds of the younger generation. Most of us Gulchers are older. We remember free speech, but most young people today have no idea how brainwashed they are.

anybody have a URL for the shirt? I'll look too!

This could be better than the Queen Mango Shirt!

EDIT I just looked through the references on Google. These are voters? No. These are illiterates. Guaranteed X+Y=Zero Let's see if their math is any better than their eight syllable with a question mark language difficulties. But it was a pleasant trip through what life after LSD might have been ....like.....I mean... Huh.....Really....?

What a strange story... Man, people can really get their panties in a bind these days over the most trivial stuff.

Oh...you KNOW I'm getting me one of those shirts now.

I've heard there are some in the entertainment industry that can think. Looks like proof to me. :)
