Hmmm. from Huff of course, so may be skewered one way, but overall the whole thing is a good example of just how they play with money like it's just some kind of monopoly game. It isn't real, it's all paper in the end....

One disconcerting habit I noticed among government employees back when I was in Air Force Systems Command (the procurement agency at the time) was the tendency to speak of "our" money. I never let the opportunity to go by that I didn't remind them that it wasn't their money, but the taxpayers' hard earned dollars, and that we had a duty to be sure it wasn't carelessly spent. I never had a project that went over budget, or missed a schedule, so of course both contractors and my government cohorts considered me somewhat of a "hardass."

Do you think if I promised to spend it as wastefully as possible, they would let me have some of it?

the horrible thing is the corruption in vet services. . that people
would graft off of the servicemembers is so incredibly
shameless that there are no consciences involved. -- j

More than anything, the treatment of our Vets gets me angry almost beyond control. Frustrating!

Herb, I retired 20 years ago and have never bothered with any vet stuff, since it is just too hard (which is their whole point), what I feel bad about is the way they have abandoned the wounded vets who never got the help they were promised by the creeps. One reason I do like Jim Webb, he is definitely the best one from that respect.

You're lucky to be in a position to be able to take care of yourself. I'm sure you worked hard to get where you are. But, you're right, particularly the wounded guys. They are forced to go to charities like the Wounded Warriors, where the CEO makes over 300K a year.

Also, I used my training to parlay into a job making computer chips with a large company we know very well. Have had to learn how to "adapt" to the current business culture in place, but if you mind your mouth, you can do well. Truth is not always welcome there either. I have seen some huge mistakes happen because no one listened. Just as with everything else today. At 17K a year, you cannot "retire". So the wounded vets who cannot work, or whose skills do not translate need some special consideration. And well they should get it too.

When I was an employee, I was a very good employee, but I hated being an employee. Looking back, I realize that I wasn't able to take orders that I deemed as either stupid or not necessary. I finally saved enough to go into businesses for myself. I know that I would eventually get fired because I'd be telling my bosses how to do their jobs.

Indeed, independendent thought is rarely welcomed or authorized. But I have always worked night shift, where we get a lot more leeway. Also I have beenpromoted to an engineering technician. and as they cut heads we ended up with one engineer. The engineering techs are now the same as an engineer, so you do not have to worry about idiots, since we also work directly with and for the floor technicians. I have managed to keep pushing the idea we support them, so we have done more to give them what they need, vice what someone else thinks they do.

Where is that documented? I would like to use it. I almost gave in to WW, but not on those conditions.

I got it from a person who was a wounded vet who referenced it, but I haven't heard from him in a while. I'll try to track him down.

Yes, I also gave to DAV, until they uncovered their mess with their director. Since you can't get the truth from anyone, I just stop until some proves they are clear. I will see what I can dig up to, that is interesting, and if so, I plan on asking O'Reily and singer dude why.

John, I know it is real, my point is the way they manipulated it, moved it, called it different names, indicates that THEY do not think it is real. It is just a boatload of numbers, accounts and paper. Like they were buying houses to put on Park Place or something. The looters are so secure in their theft techniques they now openly just move crap around and pretend it isn't a problem, just like they "raise the debt ceiling". To them, it's just increasing your credit limit on the credit card. No big deal. They all need to go and start over with real people.

I'm not sure I understand the whole thing. Looks
like more "crony capitalism"(which, in my book, is
not capitalism at all) to me. But only $17 billion?
The way they throw around money right and left all
the time, although, as a matter of principle I
wouldn't go for it, as an amount it doesn't sound
like much, when you consider all the hundreds of
billions, and trillions of dollars they throw around
all the time.--But then, I may be just numb from
the astronomical amounts with so many zeros that I hear and read about in the news lately.

Three parts to the socialist triumverate or leadership since 1920s and 1930s. Statists, Corporatists, Union Leaders. This supplanted the older King, Church, Nobles and King, Church Money Lenders

Work together is an understatement. One party system with what was a blurred statist/corporatist side and a blurred corporatist/statist side. Union leaders as the kickstand to the two main wheels. Neo-Aristocracy almost neo-feudalistic elitist upper class.with some mobility

Examples Crash of 2008 the little banks had rule changes which wiped them out. the little people including union members saw their money devalued, the little people in the midwest saw ethanol funding go the mega agricorps in exchange for a few jobs and loss of buying power. Home buyers lost out even if credit qualified to those with no credit rating. Eventuall even home owners felt the effects. The congressinals responsible went to million dollar a year jobs.

More back. SecTreasRuben whose blind trust in home financial investment Goldman Sachs did not recuse himself when Goldman Sachs had a huge share of the loss or profit in the Tesorobono bailout.

    It all fits. ffa's comment.
