why are you marking this as spam? This dude had not watched part 2 for fear it was as bad as pt 1, and I HAVE seen it so I let him know my take on it. Seems a lot of you are pretty harsh towards criticism of AS but also I don't see anyone actually saying they thought they were good.

Great video, dude! 650 views since October 2010 – 30 months ago. That's fewer than 22 views per month – less than 1 view per day. Nice!

Kaslow should hire you to do the marketing for AS-III.

Did someone erase my request that someone ask him if he thought the Atlas Shrugged films failed financially due to gov't regulations or did the post not work? Anyway it's too late now, I will never know his response!

    >>> I take a lot of pride in knowing that the Atlas Shrugged films are not for everyone.

Apparently, the fewer who see the films, the prouder you are.

Now, does that mean you would NOT feel proud had the films been a box-office smash?

    >Sorry dude, but insults won't give you leverage on the discussion.

Well, I tried reason, and that didn't work. You left me little choice.

    > I know more about cameras than you have even thought about learning.

That didn't answer my question. Once again: Do you know which end of a camera to look through?

Sorry dude, but insults won't give you leverage on the discussion. I know more about cameras than you have even thought about learning. I'm sure you're a real motion picture tycoon. Just a little advice, stop reading Teen Beat and The Hollywood Reporter want ads, and try putting something inside your head but garbage and Box Office Mojo numbers. You are like arguing with a dog that doesn't understand any language but "food."

    >Sometimes people who have been successful in other business endeavors may want to do something like make a movie only they and a handful of others would enjoy...

I see. They intentionally want to invest lots of their own time, money, and effort in a complex project that won't earn a return just to be cool and arrogant and say to the moochers of the world, "Look at what WE can do . . . just because we CAN!"

It's clear you've never made a movie. Let's start at the beginning: Do you know which end of a camera to look through?

    >You have this obsession with masturbation

Actually, no, it's the filmmakers and producers who have this obsession. I merely call it like I see it.

    >And I want to see all the cringing in the media when they are exposed to it.

That assumes the media will waste their time watching it. They won't.

Seems as if you'll simply have to imagine lots of people you hate doing the cringing. Have fun.

Sometimes people who have been successful in other business endeavors may want to do something like make a movie only they and a handful of others would enjoy.............because they can. To hell with the money. The difference between producers and moochers is a producer can always make more, because they have value. A moocher has to grip every coin because it might be the last that falls their way. A producer simply makes more money when they need to.

You have this obsession with masturbation. No, you missed the whole point. That is not the only reason to make a film for some silly sexual outlet if the only gains are collective success at the box office. Since you roam around here, you do understand that the reason everyone went to the Gulch in the book was to leave people who thought that way behind. That is the reason Richard Halley left the stage and moved to the Gulch. He was a critical success and a commercial success, but it wasn't what he was looking for. And it had nothing to do with sexual gratification in any form. We can't have a discussion if you can't get your mind around that basic concept.

    >Someone ask him if he feels any conflicts working on something so destined to lose money ...

I'm assuming Scott is getting paid for his efforts and that he wouldn't be so foolish as to work for "net points."

    >>>Yes, I'm not interested in critical success.

That much is obvious. You're also uninterested in commercial success. That much is also obvious. Therefore, there's no particular reason to make a movie except for reasons of masturbatory self-indulgence.

Since you admit that's the case, don't get so upset when the critics pan the film (you were uninterested in critical success), and don't get so snotty when it fails at the box-office (you were uninterested in commercial success).

Yes! And I want to see all the cringing in the media when they are exposed to it. That will be better than watching the film.

Yes, I'm not interested in critical success. Most films that critics like are the ones I avoid seeing. If they like it, chances are I'll hate it.

As for AS III, I'd go see the movie to watch just the John Galt speech. The movie could have no beginning, or end. It could just be that speech and it would be a good film.

    >"Hanging out somewhere for the soul purpose of being a pest to others speaks volumes as well."

    SOLE purpose, not "soul" purpose.

    Self-styled Objectivists. Good grief.
