The goal is to provide growers with critical information regarding crops, such as growth rates, potential signs of harmful insects or disease, and more. With such information, growers can limit their production costs (insecticide/pesticide + application) and better estimate yields and crop maturation. When combined with soil moisture monitors and GPS-equipped equipment, no one can argue that farmers are backwoods hicks any more.
