Greed may also tempt the Animal Farm pigs more than equal Chinese leaders, who would be the only ones to benefit from a cash payment.

few human brains with keys to the icbms -- fear
wins out internally. . and when iran has nukes and
we are tied to israel militarily, iran could shoot at us
and miss. . it takes awhile to learn how to do
deterrence, and I know no democrat who can.
and maybe only 2 or 3 repubs. -- j
We have 450 ICBM's, 288 SLBM's and 113 bombers (20 B-2's and 93 older than most of us B-52's). An ever diminishing deterrence being reduced by time and aging equipment. Don't look at the operational readiness rate unless you want to cry....at least anyone who remembers the days SAC...
Look, one air burst EMP nuke would throw the US into complete panic and disorder. MIRV missiles to actually hit, blow up, level and irradiate real territory has got to be one of the least smart 'strategies' any country could think of!
C'mon!
(Uploaded on Nov 9, 2010 @UFOcommunity A mysterious missile launch off the southern California coast was caught by CBS affiliate KCBS's cameras Monday night, and officials are staying tight-lipped over the nature of the projectile.)
The largest foreign holder of U.S. debt is China, which owns more about $1.2 trillion in bills, notes and bonds, according to the Treasury. Foreign governments hold about 46 percent of all U.S. debt held by the public, more than $4.5 trillion. In total, China owns about 8 percent of publicly held U.S. debt. Of all the holders of U.S. debt China is the third-largest, behind only the Social Security Trust Fund's holdings of nearly $3 trillion and the Federal Reserve's nearly $2 trillion holdings in Treasury investments, purchased as part of its quantitative easing program to boost the economy.
In 2010 a mysterious missile was spotted off the coast of Los Angeles and the US military claims it has no idea where it came from.
The other thing to consider is the will to actually pull the trigger. Obama doesn't have it. Can you say the same of China?
I think the real concern is leverage. Now China has one more piece of leverage to go along with their economics. Remember, their goal is to be the superpower of the 21st century. They want control of the South China Sea: the Phillippines, Taiwan, etc. The US is the only nation with a significant naval force capable of going head to head with the Chinese. And those forces are built around carrier groups. What happens when even a near-miss from a nuke hits one of those? Our capabilities are gone. Poof.
Politics, politics, and more politics. All I do is look up and ICBMs.
