Author Review Request

If you have read either of my books, Shadows Live Under Seashells or Fallacies of Vision, and haven't written a review for Amazon.com it would be greatly appreciated if you do so. I've hit a kind of dry patch related to sales and I've noticed in the past a modest bump when new posts show up.

Of course, honest reviews are requested - good or bad.

Thanks!

I reviews SLUS last year. What is Fallacies of Vision? Is it a sequel or a few short stories set in that universe? Maybe I should buy it and find out.

BTW, have you had any book signing events? You can probably have them printed for $3 a copy and sell them for 9-and-change plus tax = $10 even. It helps to take plastic with a credit card app like QuickBooks GoPayment. This has been my wife's experience.

I don't know how some books get famous. Sometimes they're really good, but something it seems once the author gets famous, whatever he writes people will buy.

Fallacies of Vision is a prequel to Shadows Live Under Seashells presenting short stories leading up to that environment.

I've had one local book signing and it was a dud. I have sold roughly 15 autographed paperbacks (including 3 to people on this site) for $13.00/copy.

I have a paypal account for autographed on line purchases but I've been known to do COD as well (haven't been burned yet). :)

I wonder if you have to go through dud book signings before people start to recognize the name and then go the next one. They think, "Yeah, I've heard that name somewhere." Someone else says, "I think I saw him at the book store." That doesn't mean they go out and buy it, but I think that's the foundation that makes people who buy sci-fi books consider a particular book.

Take all of this with a grain of salt b/c neither my wife nor I have had a successful book yet.
