Could ignoring recommended virus precautions during rallies two weeks ago be causing the spike in new cases?

From my "safe-at-home" vantage point of the wide-spread demonstrations two weeks ago, it appeared that must participants neither wearing masks nor physically-distancing , Should we call the recent increases in Covid-19 cases the "George Forsyth Spike"?

    One certainty is an increase in testing will result in increased positive results. Over 25 million tests administered. Tests increased as states reopened.
