The difference is that Democrats are complete, utter liars trying to cover up their own guilt, while McCarthy was proven correct. There were communists in positions of power at that time and there are communists in positions of power today.

But obviously McCarthy was wrong about the spread of communism in American institutions, and the Congressional Democrats are right about Trump’s involvement in Russian collusion. And when you know you’re right, AKA morally superior, morality is tossed out the window, AKA you are justified to get what you want by any means necessary.

  Solver, The hHouse is not correct about trumps involvement in Russian collusion. At least 4 separate investigations have found no evidence of any such actions on the part of Trump or his campaign.
  On the other hand there is evidence of collusion with foreign govenments by the DNC and the Clinton Capaign. That aspect was not looked at by Meuller et al and should have been.

I was accused of having "McCarthyism tendencies" once.

I responded with, "So, you admit McCarty was Right. Thank you for admitting it."

The loon scowled at me and walked away in a huff.

Never really certain what a "huff" was until then.

    Joe should have done as much investigating the news/PROPAGANDA profession as he did follywould.
    
    And the weak-willed 'republicans' should have backed him more forcefully, rather than cave to publicity stunts by the left.

They are trying to. Most in the U.S don't know what McMCarthyisnm is or was. As is often said if you don't know/study history it will repeat itself.
With sites like Galt's Gulch and some courageous lawyers speeking out about the Democrat "Witch Hunt" we may keep the country free.

  McCarthyism is an invention of the left . The term was meant to discredit anyone who is suspicious
  of peoples unamerican or anti-American behavior.
  It has been defined by them to be a catchall phrase to ridicule the messenger of truth regarding these types of matters.
  Communism , authoritarian, socialism are 👿 evil forms of slavery practiced by the deceivers who would be or are in control.
