Proud of these young minds realizing exactly what they've been used for for years. If they woke up, others will wake up to this reality as well.

Texas just passed a bill that includes mental health counseling on campus. Also they offer plans to 'harden' security at the schools. We have campus cops in our school district and have had for years. We are one of the largest districts in Texas. The Santa Fe shooter was removed from our school district and his parents owned property in Santa Fe's District and he qualified to attend there.

The student is correct. Unless you've been in their situation you don't know what it is like.
I have the impression they were talking about the two speakers A senator and a Representative. they talked about Gun Control. Not something the young people were there to focus on. they were trying in my opinion to get closure on the events of the previous day, not to hear campaign speaches. Again I'm trying to put myself in their shows without even the slightest knowledge of how they feel and what they went through.
I wish all of the students there best wishes.

I think the best part was how those trying to push gun control recognized their blunder and had to try to walk back their efforts as "too soon". It exposed them for the ideologists they are.

When I went to high school, there were really bad gangs in my school. There were rules. The gangs' business wasn't visible on the school property. They kept to their group, and the 'straight' people tended their own business. We co-existed peacefully.
