You know you live in a Country run by idiots if...

Hard work and success are rewarded with higher taxes and Government intrusion, while slothful, lazy behavior is rewarded with EBT cards, WIC checks, Medicaid and subsidized housing, and free cell phones.

It makes me sick. The whole it's not my job, I'm entitled to it because I exist.... It's so disgusting. It was considered shameful to take govt dole. What happened?

Now it's worn like a badge of honor.... their kids get a free lunch and they drive off in their new suburban talking on their iphone. It's a disgrace and it is SO rampant. The answers for this country are found in an appreciation for having a meal in front of you. (An appreciation for hard work and earning the food you eat.) That's the conclusion I have come to.

    Yeah...for reals, huh?
You guys make good sense (that was redundant). Just because they choose to be defenseless, or a volunteer victim doesn't mean I should too just to keep from "offending" someone who doesn't love life enough to defend it if they have to. I only wish I had my laser for it already. lol

You get a point for that. Do you remember when people were ashamed to get a handout? It seems so long ago now...

Hi there. It was a .357 revolver, which I absolutely loved. It was a carry class, but also included how to handle a pistol and revolver. I loved that both aspects were part of the class.

Allowed just means legally able to purchase a gun. I have an idea of what I'd like, it's just a matter of having the proper gun safe in the house. Don't want any accidents!!

I also forgot to mention my son wore his "Who is John Galt" T-shirt, and had at least 20 people walk up to him and tell him how much they liked it. Encouraging !!! All of the organizers went to dinner afterwards, and one of the guys at the table said he worked with the Atlas Shrugged society in NY a while back. I invited him to our forum here..

Wow, what at turn out. That's amazing. This is the second time I've heard someone in law enforcement say how low the threat from law abiding gun owners actually is. Next to zero. Why is that not being repeated loud and clear all over the place. It's a VERY important statistic and point of argument. I'll have to check out the women's network. :)

The Rally was Awesome also.... Seating for 650 people and over 1700 showed up. The NRA President came and let us know what kind of a fight we have on our hands, a State Senator spoke on his police service. He ran the SWAT team here in DE for 9 yrs and NEVER had one threat from someone who owned a legal gun. Another officer spoke and said the legal gun owners are their friends (and MOST officers feel that way), it is your right and my wife and child's right to have them for your protection. There is an NRA Women's Network, which I didn't know about and a MOM spoke who ran that for several years. If Mom shoots and believes in guns, she is sure to teach her child to do the same, whereas, if she doesn't it is almost always that the child will not.....Putting together a force to call on when people need to write letters, make phone calls to legislators or to show up at legislative hall. Get involved in your area. Call your State and US representatives, even if they are on the wrong side, and tell them what you think of this craziness. The NRA ran out of forms to join them.

I am so Glad that you enjoyed your class. Was the 357 a revolver? Are you taking a carrying class or a learning class. I did the first one since I had never shot a pistol and didn't know much about them, we always hunted with shotguns. Then I took the carry class and had so much fun with the group we had.

Why do you have to "be allowed" to get a gun???

It's completely irrational. Without businesses to loot, they're s.o.l. The problem though, is weather a person wishes to continue subsidizing them, or can get the heck out of dodge, and try to find somewhere that there is some balance. But those places are disappearing, almost extinct, really. It's a terrible position to be put in if you're a person who loves what they do, and relishes the chance to succeed, to bring along other people of like minded talent, beliefs and energy and see a business flourish, only to then see it greedily dissected, and left for the vultures to feast upon. I despise looters and their ilk.

Awesome! I have to get one when I'm allowed. I shot a .22 and a .357..!!!! It was sooo much fun. The .357 was crazy! I was telling LS that she would be proud of my grouping. The center of the target was shredded.

Glad to hear the really was good. How was the turn out? I was bummed I couldn't make it to ours, but, I had a good reason, I think. :-)
