What if we used A.I. to run the government via the internet to effectively handle controversial issues?

I re-watched 'NETWORK' last night. I had to take a sleeping pill. Strung out? I would say so. Nerve wracking show. But we do put our children in front of the TV all the time. I limit my 'great child' to 'Puppy Dog Pals'.

A wise man once told me if he had to choose over power or money, he would choose power!

The nature of modern government is to grow bigger and take control of everything. In the movie I linked the A.I. network does what it does for the greater good of mankind, and it expects to be appreciated.
Of course the movie was made before today’s Internet. The lesson might be, how much power to control our lives do we allow a government or an A.I.system to have? The other lesson is, once some power is given, will more be demanded?

Or, how might that movie represent an "Internet-oriented" form of government?

Solver, is that movie because the main character is in CONTROL of everyone else, or, is in control of everything on Earth?
