With all the meds I take, I'm not supposed to imbibe alcohol. I do anyway, but I have to ration it which causes me to be very selective. Had I but known the future, I would have abused my body considerably more.

Sorry -- I dropped the F out of the wine. My dyslexia coupled with my lousy typing usually catches up with me now and then. My hands are often dirty, but my mind is clean. (Mostly).

Mein Gott!!! It's liebfraumilch. I, too, am of earthy stock but I have learned not to make a fetish of it. I can still get my hands dirty.

I like Gewurtztraminer on a crisp fall day but with a mild cheese, such as a baked brie, or a slice of apple pie with a little cheddar. I also love a little port with dark chocolate in the colder months

I have very unsophisticated cheese taste. Swiss, cheddar or cream cheese on a bagel. I do enjoy Fruity German white wine like liebraumilch (Blue Nun). But then, I come from a very long line of peasants.

Do you remember Please, Mister Custer, I Don't Want To Go? I went hunting this on Youtube about a year ago, and I realized I saw this particular selection on TV when it first appeared. I even forgot I used to watch Six O'Clock Rock. The provided date reveals I was 13 at the time.

Hey people -- I wrote whine not wine. It wasn't a misspelling, it was supposed to be sarcastic humor. It's not funny when you have to explain the joke.

After mentioning Alley Oop during my dino act, it occurred to me some of the younger readers may not know who Alley Oop is. I read the comic strip as a kid. Heard that song rocky provided when it first came out when I was also still a kid. Bought the 45 RPM soon after. Recall dressing up as King Guz (another Oop strip character) at a school costume competition.

We like to spread a Danish bleu on a water cracker with some braunschweiger, followed by a sweet fresh fruit and a sip of a light white like a Piesporter or Gewurtztraminer. Yum!
