We heard this also from "AOC." Who goes out of her way to appear "cute" and even to feign ignorance. Don't let her fool you. It's all an act. And I don't approve of derogatory memes putting silly words in her mouth like "I wouldn't send my kids to the Electoral College." She knows better; don't kid yourselves. That's her signal that she will strike it from the Constitution, first chance she gets.

I am all on board for paying -- or rather -- having as little as possible confiscated in taxation.

My neighbor is on SSDI... has been for nine years. He can be seen chopping firewood and engaging in all manner of very Able Behavior. I have thought long and hard about getting on the Govt tit myself ... there is an entire industry that assists in filling out the papers and getting through the red tape to go on disability. Lots of mental illness out there now ... reasons to say you have PTSD. Get on that gravy train and just stay there. Dammit -- I just can't do it -- I can't get myself to that point.

But I am on board with what you are saying about breaking down the govt and killing socialism. As I see it, the Govt can just keep on ginning up the currency and handing it out ... deficit spending as far as the eye can see ... it's when there is little left to actually buy (when Atlas Shrugs) that things start to really break down.

One thing that I have started doing -- limiting my contact with folks that identify as socialists -- and I call them out on their BS -- both in print and verbally. I think you mentioned it in prior posts -- the cutting of any ties to people that would like to steal from me -- either directly or indirectly.

And what if we asked Cancer to tell us what it wants?

My goal is to arrange my life to pay as close to zero tax as possible to the federal government, and take as much in benefits from the federal government to bankrupt it and limit its ability to engage in socialism.

“We” is a word used religiously in the book, Anthem. They put to death individuals who dare speak that other, forbidden word.

The largest and most immediate threat to this Republic is that no "journalist" will ask her in a live forum - "who is we?" and " What Constitutional authority do "they" cite as their legal mandate to take anything from only one specific group of Americans?" We get what we allow.

We can argue about how much to tax and from whom to fund public activities, but first we have to eliminate Income Taxation. The definition of SLAVERY is the involuntary legal claim to the work product of one entity by another entity. We fought the American Civil War to declare slavery to be immoral. Income Taxation is immoral and must be consigned to the scrap heap of history. Lots of other systems of taxation are possible -- all of which are controllable by the taxed (and not the elites) can raise money for the few things that need to be done by the "necessary evil" that is government. Fairtax is the best. A wealth tax would be more cumbersome and more subject to abuse by the political class, other "sales taxes" are all moral. Time to end the tyranny of Income Taxation.

Even if you confiscated all of the wealth of all the billionaires in America, you'd only have enough money to cover eight months of federal spending. If you moved on and confiscated all of the wealth of everyone with at least a million dollars worth, you'd have enough to cover the entire year, and pay back about 10% of the national debt. If you went further, and scooped up all the wealth of everyone with a worth of over $100,000, you could pay off about half the national debt. What you would have left is a country with no jobs, no transportation, no food, and no hope. The population that survived would be slaves to the ruling upper class, sort of like Venezuela is today.

If it had stopped there it would still be wrong on principle. The principle is what makes it possible for them to extend it.

They are also dishonest in trying give the impression that they will no extend the latest looting. Their populist demagoguery is intended to appeal to those who also reject the principle of rights as indivisible, with some of those "pragmatically" hoping to be overlooked and most of the rest expecting that they will remain in the bottom not directly impacted anyway. A few very wealthy collectivists don't care.

All of it has to be rejected on principle, not just "it will get worse later".

Yes. Those who argue that it is wrong because it will lead to stealing more later are condoning the principle of the theft. The principle makes the rest possible, and we already know they will invoke that without all the repetition missing the point.

Actually I think we are giving too much respect/credit to Cortez by providing all 3 of her names. Going forward she should only be referenced to as Cortez. I have other suggestions. But, Cortez will suffice.

And even that's a huge racket. Both of my parents are part-time tax preparers and I just keep hearing stories of all the poor people who pay $400 or $500 on a $1500 return to have their taxes done for them. Then the tax prep company keeps 20% of the return as an advance fee.

Words of a true looter. How about this, we want to take just a bit off the top of all Congress, put them on the same retirement as the rest of us, and same medical plan. That ought to save a bundle. And, since you are running a pedophile ring, right Hillary, we want 50% of that as well. Wrks for me.

And everything, including the tax form instructions, were on two double-sided sheets of paper.
Now we need AI supercomputers for each individual to figure it all out.

Well, absolutely! As Margarete Thatcher basically said, and I'm paraphrasing here, "Liberals love spending other people's money."

This is exactly what they said when they got the Sixteenth Amendment passed. Income Taxes were only supposed to apply to the wealthiest. Now look at where we are at.

Winners of the lottery prove that giving people money does not cure poverty. Within a short period no matter how much they won they are poor again and back at their old low paying job. Of course that has nothing to do with the fact that it is immoral to take anyone's property (money) for any 'good' reason. Theft remains theft no matter what you intend to do with the money. As Estienne once pointed out, the existence of the ruling class is proof the slaves are immoral and willing to accept them. No slave master can exist unless the slaves give him permission to rule their lives.
