My neighbor is on SSDI... has been for nine years. He can be seen chopping firewood and engaging in all manner of very Able Behavior. I have thought long and hard about getting on the Govt tit myself ... there is an entire industry that assists in filling out the papers and getting through the red tape to go on disability. Lots of mental illness out there now ... reasons to say you have PTSD. Get on that gravy train and just stay there. Dammit -- I just can't do it -- I can't get myself to that point.
But I am on board with what you are saying about breaking down the govt and killing socialism. As I see it, the Govt can just keep on ginning up the currency and handing it out ... deficit spending as far as the eye can see ... it's when there is little left to actually buy (when Atlas Shrugs) that things start to really break down.
One thing that I have started doing -- limiting my contact with folks that identify as socialists -- and I call them out on their BS -- both in print and verbally. I think you mentioned it in prior posts -- the cutting of any ties to people that would like to steal from me -- either directly or indirectly.
The Answer "Just a tiny amount of your rich red blood supply. Really small. You won't even miss it."
Be thankful I don't take it all. - George Harrison
One for you, nineteen for me.
They are also dishonest in trying give the impression that they will no extend the latest looting. Their populist demagoguery is intended to appeal to those who also reject the principle of rights as indivisible, with some of those "pragmatically" hoping to be overlooked and most of the rest expecting that they will remain in the bottom not directly impacted anyway. A few very wealthy collectivists don't care.
All of it has to be rejected on principle, not just "it will get worse later".
Now we need AI supercomputers for each individual to figure it all out.
