I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...I'm re-reading Atlas Shrugged but the first time was about 25 years ago. Boy, I had forgotten a lot and it's great to get back into it.

How do any of you feel about Ms. Rand's atheism? What I mean is, not that being a Christian interferes with my own free market beliefs but does it interfere for any of you? Did she insist that all her followers be atheists? or was it just her own approach to her social, political, and economic beliefs?

Hi George, There are many beliefs here, Including the many forms of Christianity. Most here in the Gulch firmly believe that you have the right to your own (religious) beliefs even, if they’re wrong. And logically, the vast majority of them are.

As far as the Ayn Rand insisting that all Objectivists be atheists, I doubt that. Although if someone can find a quote to the contrary, I’ll change my mind.
