I havent paid ANY attention to so called "critics" when it comes to movies in a LONG, LONG, LONG time. Its pretty much garbage, along with the various award shows. I am not sure who they are pandering to, but what they say doesnt impact what I do at all.

The critics simply reflect the fear and anger stewing in the SJW pot. The phrase "the truth shall set you free" is an obscene phrase to these folk, who seriously believe that only their version of history is real.

the newspaper here in Ft. Lauderdale will not even review it...and are totally ignoring it...the theater I saw it at put it in their smallest showing room...sold out...I loved it...over the top at times (church choir at the end, but hell of a performance)...but worth paying to see it...no accident on the timing of it's release with the mid-terms in less than 90 days...

I found the two singing sessions to be a discordant waste of time that could have been filled with additional documentary content. The coherence of the historical analysis (nee opera) was over when the fat lady sang. D'Sousa should have spent more time stressing slavery as a purely Democratic Party affiliation/institution, with no known Republicans owning slaves.

I thought the movie was surprisingly enlightening on a couple of important points.
    Please see it for yourself.

Second example. Woodrow Wilson, a Democratic President, showed a KKK oriented film in the white house. This back when it was somewhat acceptable to say KKK.
Democrat - NOT Republican. It is a Big Lie that the KKK was historically associated with the Right/Conservative/Republicans.

Thanks, and I saw it the first day it was available. Just curious what different people thought was compelling. I have to admit my ignorance going into the movie about the meaning behind the title, Birth of a Nation. Now it makes total sense!

I encourage you to watch for yourself to see the comprehensive picture.
One example was the interview he had with Richard Spencer, a so called leader of the Alt-Right. Mr. Spencer's proudly stated statements show him to be a Leftist Collectivist Fascist. It is a Big Lie to parade him out as what the Right/Conservative/Republican stand for. It is 100% the opposite.
For example, Mr. Spencer ssys that individual Rights come from the State; he says this without any qualifiers, even after Mr. D'Souza asks him to clarify.
One has to differentiate between people and not lump them all together under a political word.

Absolutely, I too thought the Spencer interview was very revealing in several ways.

            Thanks.
The only criticism I would make of the movie was the first scene where Hitler kills himself. The whole scene seemed unnecessary and starts the film out on a revolting negative note. Wish it wasn't in the film at all.

Like most Hollywood actors, movie critics seek to PC fit in to be respected, to be invited to cocktail parties and to, heck, to be paid for being a critic in the first place.

I went to the movie at a theater in Fayetteville, Ga on a Sunday afternoon. There were a total of 7 of us in the theater. I am rereading his book The Big Lie. So much information that is pertinent to current conditions in this country.
Dinesh can now use his street cred as an ex-con.

Instead of chattel slaves where individuals own other individuals America is a slave state where the state owns the slaves and dictates where their resources and labor will be spent.
