I was "turned on" to Ayn Rand some years back. As a youth, I was a staunch Democrat, but during debates I was often confronted by people talking about Rand's ideas, so I decided to read for myself. I'm never fully in agreement with anyone since I have a mind of my own, but I have to say I agree with Rand more often than not. I look forward to interacting with the membership here and networking with like-minded people.

Welcome to the Gulch Steve. Having a mind of your own, and defending it, is a primacy of the Objectivist movement.

Being a member of something calling itself an "Objectivist movement" while implicitly rejecting that philosophy (as a unity) is to be, in fact, a counter-revolutionary where Ayn Rand's philosophic revolution is concerned (i.e., you cannot have your philosophy, any philosophy, and depart from it too. It's ultimately all or nothing).

Now contradict me please (as I know you will anyway). Only I have nothing further to add but one vitally important, indispensable resource:

Welcome Steve, I hope you are open to going the next step up the ladder of integration and becoming an Objectivist one day. But yeah, there are a wealth of pro-life, pro-reason principles her system of thought integrates.

Do you have a system of thought? A side observation: a corollary of being "never fully in agreement with anyone" (categorically) is to never be fully in disagreement with anyone (or anything) either.

You DO have a mind of your own. I FULLY agree. ;-)
