Yes, 25n-etc., this is not news. Trump call it Fake News. Rush Limbaugh calls it "The Dive-By Media."
What me dino now feels moved to opine is that Yellow Journalism is big time back. And I ain't talking about only the newsprint trash at grocery checkout lines.
I'm including The New York Times, The Huffington Puffington Post (Rush calls it that), what my brother has said about The Atlanta Journal, what I've seen The Birmingham News become, and of course there's the electronic media that could not rear its ugly head back during late Nineteenth Century Yellow Journalism's first heyday.
Yellow Journalism is having a big time revival right freaking now! Sex has always been about exploitative sensationalism. Libs love writing their hit pieces.

I was a politician (for three long years). It was a learning experience. I wouldn't care to repeat it. But are others really interested in the sex lives of our elected officials or television personalities? I can't even watch the news with my grandchild!

I agree that a person's private life is not relevant to the ability to do the job per se, but it does affect what voters think of his/her character. Other things are much more important factors in deciding whether someone is qualified and deserves your vote.
However, the MSM has backed themselves into a corner. Their favored candidates have been discovered to be liars, cheats, and perhaps murderers in areas directly related to the job they are supposed to perform. There is evidence that indicates they have violated the oath of their office to attain personal wealth and power. The MSM has not found any such evidence against Trump and they are grasping at anything to distract the voters from the guilt of many in the MSM's favored party, the Democrats.
(imo, the GOP party is guilty of similar crimes, but the guilty ones are likely not supporters of Trump and are not useful targets for the MSM.)
The only solution I have found is to turn off the tv and sell it to someone who wants to be manipulated (or ignores the danger.)

For me it is relevant if it show a pattern of events that could lead to political blackmail OR if the personal life takes place in a public office. To his favor, Trump has never been anything but an unabashed and unapologetic playboy .I do not find it to be out of the ordinary that he could have paid money to silence women who could feed a divorce lawyer to amplify his monetary loss. The left is going bonkers to find ANYTHING to give them traction.

What is interesting is that when Bill Clinton was having his sexual dalliances the same press was crying about how unimportant it was and now the Trump may be guilty of the same thing they are trying to make it appear that he is defiling women. Not interested in hearing about either case.

What is deplorable, is how the media focus is only on Trump's sexual adventures. Did they ever write about Hillary's ongoing relationship with a woman in Hollywood> How about her solo visit to pehophile island? Nope. Did they ever once mention how Obama sold his body to white men for cocaine money while in Hawaii? Did they ever make an issue of his misuse of gay pals in Chicago as a member of the gay bar and bathhouse scene? Did they mention Larry Sinclair's book about those days, no that was hushed up, after a judge refused to ban it's publication. See "Sex, Lies and Murder" for details. It would be nice if Trump was not so able to buy willing young women, eager to grab a buck, but look what the others have don, and are still doint. It is not as important as immigration, the Constitution, and Supreme Court justices. Oh, yes, we have one who says she thinks pedophilia is good for children! Disgusting.

I'd view it as hypocritical if he made an issue out of clean social behavior. However, this isn't a platform.

Therefore, who cares? Clinton's indiscretions were set aside as from charisma (and that people from his political leaning choose to ignore it). Trumps are evil since they come from money/power (and thus not clean charisma, and that people from the opposing political view choose to escalate it).
Clinton ok, since charisma is just charm and not coersion.
Trump evil, since power is just arms bending, not true choice.
    Blech!

Trump being attracted to young beautiful women is not news. As for cheating, you can't get scandal to affect the scandalous, they have built up immunity. Laurer built his career on honesty and trust. Like Dan Rather when the trust was broken both were out of work. My view is if you have a country that sells elections by offering freebies, about once a generation someone needs to set the economy straight and create enough wealth to pay for the past sellouts.

I agree. We hired him to do a job, and should leave him alone to do it. I have become really tired of the liberal democrats. I am ready for the rest of the civil war that really started with the 2016 election.

The US government would never allow states to secede peacefully unfortunately. It didnt with the confederacy, but had to destroy them and the south. I disagree that it was over slavery. The north had slaves themselves. It was that the south didnt want to be part of the USA.

I would go for the DSA (deplorable states of America), although it would be hard to do unless there was some sort of really apocalyptic scenario that decimated the US government first

OK, so assuming Trump had extramarital adult consensual relationships in his past. Although I don't care for such behavior, it is not illegal and he isn't behaving so in the White House (if he were I'm sure we'd know all about it faster than Bill Clinton could take a puff on a cigar). That behavior also seems to be rather common among famous and rich individuals of either sex and is no longer a "big deal" other than in the tabloids. Now it seems his past partners want to get paid in some way, which begs the question: doesn't NY have laws against blackmail and prostitution? Although Trump was willing to finance a legal non-disclosure agreement I doubt if he believed his partners were whores and blackmailers, which is not legal behavior.

The left view conservatives as moralists with rigid standards, which is why they continue to focus on Trump's alleged moral flaws. They hope to create a disgust in the Trump supporters, primarily the evangelical crowd, that will keep them away from the polls the next two elections.

Rather than present an alternate moral stand in opposition to Trump and his band of deplorables, the left has to rely on the regimen of personal destruction. The Clintons have taken the Democrats down this stinking hole, and no one seems to have the desire to attempt to crawl out.

In this generation of "reality" as presented melodramatically by entertainment media, the strategy is to create a fog of outrage so thick that Trump's accomplishments are swept aside. Forget that he created an economic stimulus that achieved goals labeled impossible by Obama (>4% GDP growth, a resurgence of manufacturing jobs his predecessor declared gone forever, lowest unemployment in decades); forget that he's made real progress in the possibility of peace on the Korean peninsula; forget that his aggressive stance on trade appears to be creating a real free market; forget that he's been tougher on Putin than Obama. Focus on what's important: the ever more unlikely, delusional possibility that he might be guilty of something that we just haven't discovered yet.

I can see where our tabloid culture and maybe a general relative interest in someone's personal responsibility may be of a matter to voters. Example, while I don't think it mattered (much) that Kennedy was banging Marilyn Monroe on the side, Bill Clinton getting BJ's under the the desk in the Oval Office does show an incredible disrespect for his position and violation of human resources norms that would get anyone else fired - not to mention the lawsuit that the intern can bring to the government. In Trump's case, we didn't hire a choir boy, i think people would be "more surprised" if there wasn't a string of bimbos.

When did sex between consenting adults become in any way illegal? They bury any and all sexual activities between their own ilk with minors and again wherever non consensual advances were proven yet they are right on top of any sex between Trump, republicans and consenting adults. Do I, should I even care who is bopping who as long as they both are old enough and agree?

What I despise the most is the one-sided nature. The Democrats are more than happy to defend their own - even while committing outright felonies - like Anthony Wiener and Bill Clinton and many more, but suddenly someone puts their foot under a bathroom stall and suddenly he's castigated for being an in-the-closet homosexual. Or someone else pays to have sex with a prostitute and because there is an (R) next to their name its front-page news even though Bill Clinton did it all throughout his tenure as Governor of Arkansas!

I don't find moral deviancy a becoming trait in our elected officials, but I think I hate the hypocrisy of the left far more.

I find it funny that the democrats are forced by their own "political correctness" to go after fellow democrats like Weinstein, Lauer, and many others for very ambiguous crimes like the "casting couch", where young starlets trade sex for help with movie and TV careers. Live by the sword; Die by the sword.

Only the ones which are politically toxic - it certainly isn't a universal condemnation. Bill Clinton still takes his trips with his buddy to Orgy Island with underage girls, but you don't see that in the media.

I was talking to the (Democrat) North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture back when Bill was President, and mentioned the "stuff" he was doing. He stated he was proud of Bill for what he was doing, and would have done the same himself. "I'd have ****ed her!"

Dan Bongino recently said, "I'm not interested."

Many conservative Christians, in the course of supporting Trump, point out that some of the famous Good Guys in the Bible were not without substantial sin. Solomon, David, Peter and Paul all come to mind.

It's one thing to make mistakes and own up to them, quite another to deny them, and a third to glory in them. I don't fault anyone for making mistakes and honestly making good on them. What boils my blood are those in the third group who then go even a step further and apply a double-standard: that whatever they themselves do is okay but if my opponent does precisely the same thing then he (or she) is bad. It's the utter hypocrisy that I sometimes wish would come back and bite them in the nether regions.

31,000 missing children in the US last year and over 30 from Iowa in the last week.
Not a peep from the MSM. They feel it is more important to titilate with BS.

    Right, it is not news.

But it is on the front page of every publication, even the WSj which prostituted itself a long time ago.

It means only one thing: there is nothing else to write about, at least by MSM standards..

Who cares about the economy rebounding, growth in the 3%-s, Trump being successful and America benefiting. That is not news for them.
