The Stinky Chicken

One of the most annoying things that the Left does is to perform the Stinky Chicken. That comes from an old Yiddish joke that translates somewhat as follows: An elderly woman walks into a butcher shop, (Something you can rarely find nowadays) she asks to see one of the chickens in the display case. The butcher grabs a chicken and hands it to her, she takes it and sniffs under the wings, at the crotch and all over the body. .She hands the chicken back to the butcher and exclaims, "This chicken sinks!" Whereupon the butcher replies, "Lady, Miss America couldn't pass a test like that.!" What has this to do with politics? Every time Trump speaks, every word is is parsed and every sentence is scrutizied to the point where the intent is lost in the analyzation and often appears to have an entirely different meaning.Americans! This sentence stinks! Folks, Abraham Lincoln couldn't pass a test like that!

He thrived on his ability to do things that the average citizen could not. I think he never truly believed in his celebrity.

Good question........though kind of difficult to write while twirling a lasso............we might have found out if he just hadn't hitched a ride with Wiley.

I am reminded of "the big lie" which was the technique used by Hitler's Goebbels. "If you say a lie long enough and loud enough, people will begin to believe it.."

"Most of these people don't show up in the polls because they don't want to have to defend him in public."

They could vote absentee and solve that concern.

My favorite thing about Trump is that he makes the people I hate so angry that they foam at the mouth and say a bunch of stupid gibberish in response to what ever clumsy thing he said.

Juarez had some outstanding street food, as did Waterfill, the little town at the Zaragoza crossing, not much better than a fresh, hand made flour tort filled with avocado and jalapeno and a cold Bohemia. Damn shame it`s a war zone now.

I expect the sensor technology has vastly improved over the 4 X 8 sheet of plywood in the BP County line checkpoint shack with numbered light bulbs along the border, if a sensor tripped the light came on. The problem with sensors is that they are passive, when a sensor tripped, it took several hours for the BP to get to the remote locations on horseback. I don`t see a physical wall along 100 % of the border as a reality, but one is required in specific locations and a hard hand is required in others.

I think you nailed it. And it will be forever a mystery to the Dems as why the polls show him losing when he is actually winning.I had my doubts about him before the election, but since then, I find him to be a refreshing wind blowing through the morass of Washington politics. He inevitably does the right thing while expressing himself in very unpolitical Americanese . He talks to us like us. A mispeak becomes a lie to the opposition but his patriotism and pragmatism remain unchallenged.

I don't think Trump gives a damn what they say as long as they say it angrily and over the top. He knows who will vote for him and who won't. The 40% deplorables like what he tweets, it sounds like them since they don't like those sissy pinkos in the media anyway. He tweets to these people leaving his meaning ambiguous enough so they can interpret that he is a little deplorable himself. Then there is a faction of voters that will vote for him on the basis of what he does rather than what he says or how he acts. Most of these people don't show up in the polls because they don't want to have to defend him in public. I think the media and their distortions are good for Trump and the only ones feeling any real discomfort is us secret supporters.

I just like the idea of the illegals knowing that we are actively persuing them and will arrest them and cause them grief if they are caught.Rather than get caught? No big deal.as it has been until El Trumpo.

First hand knowledge is best. Been to Laredo and Nuevo Laredo.and El Paso, on my way to California. El Paso, strangely enough, has good Chinese food.

Why is a Trump tweet like fried chicken? Because there is very little more delicious than either of them .

Dignity, shmignity, I'll bet they said the same thing about Lincoln who would not finish a paragraph without inserting a joke, especially when orating. But, you're right , he certainly is better than the alternative. As the year moved along I became more and more impressed with the man. His courage, humor and devotion to his promises impressed me more than his haircut. Obviously, it is not what's on his head, but what's in his head that counts.,

Impeded is fine. A physical and readily broachable wall is not the way. There are sensor networks that work just fine to identify anything crossing larger than a rat. less expensive, less broachable, much better against this asymmetric threat.
A nice RF "dial-a-pain" is also a wonderful, non-lethal deterrent.

I`m from El Paso, I have spent a lot of time along the river between Zaragoza and Laredo, we used to have to open our gates for the BP to respond to border sensor trips in the rough country, the "wall" is absolutely required, I have seen first hand the difference when access is impeded and when it is not - impeded is much better.
