"We The living", Released by Duncan Scott Productions, Inc. I just got done watching it. The best ever and a look at our own present and future.....unfortunately.

My wife is a Russian immigrant and "We The Living" is one of her favorite films. Duncan recently asked her to translate some of the Russian songs in the film for the upcoming Hi-Def re-release. Needless to say, she's thrilled. :)

  Oh wow, that's great. I'm thrilled just to hear about it. Do you know of any plans for a theatrical release? Since the movie is so long, an intermission would be a good thing and the theaters can make extra profits from the sale of goodies.
  
  After watching the movie, “We The Living" is one of my favorite films too. The book was great but the movie brought it all together. I was riveted to the TV screen.

Yes. I have a DVD. It could be time for a remake. The original is too long to hold the interest of most young people. Perhaps Taylor Schilling could play Kira.

  my daughter, who is an actress and is already named Kira for this very character, enjoyed it immensely. She is 23. so she should at least get to try out :)

    Thoroughness? Communism, and living under it is complicated and includes a lot of hard to digest stuff so it needs to be spelled out and displayed so it will sink in while watching it on a screen. That's what I think anyway.

Yes. We bought the DVDs a year or two ago. Black and white, subtitles, and all, we have watched it several times so far and anticipate more viewings in the future. It is a compelling story and Kira is spellbinding, magnetic.

Haven't watched the movie, but loved the book. If the liberals want a taste of their own medicine, they should keep up the good work, and the USSR can be reborn here!
