No candidate tells the people that he wants power over them, so he tells them he wants to help them, instead.
2. Don't knock the rich - when did the poor ever give you a job?
3. Children grow up quickly these days - many teens are already confused, discouraged and broke.
4.Balancing the budget: They said it couldn't be done. I'll go along with that.
5. I love little children, but I can't stand the younger generation.
6. Politicians try to tell us what they think we want to hear when they should be telling us the truth.
7. TRUTH: The public gets what it wants, but with the truth, it gets what it gets.
8. Miracles and the law of causality: Two tiny demichromosomed pre-protozoan flecks of amino acids unite to develop into the awesome complexity of a human being.
9. The trouble with good advice it that it always interferes with our plans.

Unfortunately, that is something that youth doesn't understand about the elderly. But we older people do know a thing of two.

I am a very big Hitchcock fan. I was very sad when he died. But for quite selfish reasons. No more Hitchcock films to look forward to. Dahl was always and excellent read, even his children stories. Died too young.

Thanks for the nomination Roald Dahl (1916–1990) was a British author and scriptwriter, and "the most popular writer of children's book since Enid Blyton", according to Philip Howard, the literary editor of The Times. The death of an elder sister and his father within a few months when he was three gave his writing "a black savagery". He was raised by his Norwegian mother, who took him on annual trips to Norway, where she told him the stories of trolls and witches present in the dark Scandinavian fables. Dahl was influenced by the stories, and returned to many of the themes in his children's books.

I have found that to often be true with my BW.
When I remember that listening is all that is required......things go smoothly.

Point #9 should also include...that hardly anyone really wants advice, they just want someone to listen.

I really like Alfred Hitchcock, and he does indeed have a twisted mind. I also would like to nominate Roald Dahl for having a twisted mind.

My favorite Hitchcockian remark was when asked by an interviewer why he directs thrillers, he replied, "I have the heart of a young boy," (wistful pause) "I keep it in a jar on my desk."

When younger I read short stories from Alfred Hitchcock in paperback. Now he had a twisted mind.

I used that title for an essay in my 2nd year English class, which caused the prof. to laugh. I've been using it ever since.

“Do you know someone who thinks with a twisted mind? I do not mean someone with a convoluted sense of morality. Nor, do I refer to a perversion of any sort or an unorthodox sense of humor. One can think with a twisted mind and make plenty of sense. Thanks .
