The weapon was fully automatic, fully automatic weapons are illegal under current gun control laws. If anything the Vegas shooting proved gun control doesn’t work.

Experts need to examine how many guns rounds were spent and the time of the first shots to the last, start doing some math how many times can one Untrained guy reload all of that. It could be the Uncivil war.

Agreed, Dobrien. The 100% solution to this problem is beyond me and may be beyond all of us at this time in history. Using a computer as an analogy, it can fail with bad programming or hardware fault or some combination of the two. I don't see, in a nation of over 300 million people or world of 5 or 6 billion, where we will never see this kind of tragedy happening from time to time. I suspect even if humankind can reach a civilized Objectivist society there will be tragic breakdowns now and then.

Time will tell. But even if this particular incident is not that, I think we are seeing a clear shift now from liberal fascism to what I can only call liberal "supremacism." They keep ratcheting up the violent rhetoric higher and higher. Just like with white supremacists or Islamic supremacists, many liberals like this educated and otherwise "normal" executive at CBS, have been so brainwashed and filled with moral superiority by leftist education and culture, they see those who disagree with them politically as immoral or sub-human -- and therefore seeing them slaughtered is just fine. This is a very sickening and ominous development for the country.

From what I understand, just about every person who carries this kind of thing out is on fairly heavy psych meds. I don't mean to demean those on Prozac and such. 25% of all women in the US is on them. But, we know there is some causation to these kinds of behaviors with those drugs. As the population on them continues to explode I expect this kind of thing to be in the news regularly.

This is what happens when you call people "Deplorable" and continually dehumanize them so they are no longer seen as individuals. These are classic totalitarian tactics and there are way too many people on the left who think just like her. What more laws, "gun control" or otherwise, in this case would be needed? The criminal broke the law when he committed murder, he broke the law when he maimed, and he broke the law using automatic weapons. I'm sure when this is all said and done there will be a list of other acts he committed that were against existing laws. Since the acts he committed and the hardware he used were already against laws on the books, what more laws could possibly be added that this individual would actually adhere to that would make him finally decide to not do what he did?

The only examples where the government controls all weapons all end the same way with far more people dying at the hands of the state than at the hands of a few deranged individuals.
