Galt's Gulch

Thinking about starting a commentary on the statement = If Galt's Gulch sucks and Moochers "Blow" how do you communicate between the two factions when the time to resolve issues occurs?

This is kind of a back handed (semi-humorous) but VERY serious issue we must confront. For example - How can we speed up the process of enlightening the moochers before we all go to hell? -- so to speak!

    There is no "enlightening" of the moochers. It's a hopeless cause. (I would love for someone to prove me wrong on this. Anybody out there got an example of how they accomplished the enlightening of a moocher? Please share....)

      Depends upon how much they want to live. A lot of backsliding will occur.
      They were brainwashed over many decades so their reeducation would take twice as long or ONE really eye opening betrayal by his/her fellow moochers.
      Other than that, don't hold your breath.

        And maybe you are just a confused nut case because you have no sense of reality. Social Security and Medicare are NON voluntary Government programs they TAKE FROM YOU WITH OUT YOUR PERMISSION so any returns you get is bare minimum compared to what you COULD have gotten else where.

        YOU have no clue about life do you?

            Living off social security is not mooching. She paid into the program just like everyone else did and HAS to do. Taking Social Security is like taking dividends from a 401K except that the 401K pays MUCH MUCH better.

            So go back in your hole (or where ever you crawled out of and keep your yap shut.)

      Absolutely F^^^ing NO.
      When they are starving and near death they "might" be savable but they will require observation for backsliding. Reinforcement would ALWAYS be required.

          Can't say that I don't disagree with you. A Jackass will always be a Jackass. All I was saying was that you can always beat a Jackass into submission and they tend to stay that way if you reinforce your beatings on a regular basis. In time ANY Jackass will quit resisting and start cooperating knowing that not doing so just means another beating.

            I don't care to be a beater. Or a convincer....or a converter... or a carer (care-er). I've been there and I'm done with it. But by all means... beat a way.

    Educate everyone you meet whenever possible, briefly explain economics to them, explain that liberalism/socialism cannot be sustained, explain job creation. If they don't seem interested in these, you know you have a moocher. Stop giving them a free ride. Don't donate or otherwise give to certain philosophical people, don't support certain businesses, do not feel guilt. Ask moochers why they expect you--and others in the room--to pay for them to live. Explain to them that true greed is expecting those who work for money to pay for those who don't.

      Liberals don't understand economics. They understand charity. You giving your hard earned money to them and their friends.
      To them EVERYONE deserves a free ride. It doesn't matter who will pay for it as in the end the government will pick up the tab and tax the hell out of those that have worked for their money.
      I donate to myself. I have NEVER received one red cent from others that I have not earned. I DO NOT ACCEPT CHARITY. I DO NOT GIVE CHARITY
      I pay others for the "work" they have done and expect the same in return.

        Quid pro quo. It works. I must say I have never been given anything. I work very hard for what I have, and resent that so much is taken to support what I haven't chosen of my own free will to support, or not.

    Freedom is often confusing but worth the effort considering all aspects and results of said freedom.

    Relationships are never perfect but having NO relationships definitely blows.

      Not having a relationship any longer with those who are trying to sabotage my life doesn't blow so much at all, I'm realizing. :) Not wasting my time on them is a big plus.
