My flight started in Brazil's 2015. The turmoil generate by the government gave me a profound sense of anger and disappointment towards the system. By then I realized what freedom truly was and that I had none of it. It was when I came to know Atlas Shrugged and that changed everything for me. I became ever more interested in Galt's ideology and started reading and studying more about the subject. Each idea, each book, each person I discussed with lead me here, to my current understanding of freedom and of what is right. The idea of individuality has always been, for as long I can remember, very central in personality, although I only mastered it recently, throughout my self education process as I exposed above. Today I find myself a libertarian, ever so steadily trending to anarch-captalism as my idea of Galt's Gulch. I've come to realize that those who actually make progress have little or no time at all for politics, which leaves space to parasites proliferate and star ruling. Therefore it is my belief that a stateless place, based on property and self-ownership, with freedom as its primarily premise has the most compelling framework for an ideal society. I am a physician in Brazil, searching for a place/life where I can rely that my work is by itself a measure of my effort and productivity, paid accordingly, not submitted by the will of the majority, not enslaved in the name of "social welfare", not dictated by a bureaucrat whose only ability in life was to be nominated for this parasitic job, not cost-free, not average, not to everyone else but me. This search brought me here, it has been a great ride and it has only just begun.
