At least the attitude is more for the people. Instead of it takes a village govt freak to raise a child.

I have been reading Ron Chernow's Hamilton and I am getting anxious for Aaron Burr to" off" him. Damn book is too heavy for airplane reading so I picked up Charlmagne by Dereck Wilson for a recent trip. I found this book to be very amazing and it contains many truths relating to Hamilton's time as well as our own. I was always fascinated by Charles The Great and according to my Mormon neighbor's genealogy website, he is an ancient grandfather. Perhaps he was a benevolent dictator for the times but the example of how rulers control their subjects by fear of their enemy, their god and their own government is a formula that still works.

I imagine the Framers of the Constitution trying avoid these what-ifs, but sadly they happened anyway.
