Industries that have been (or will be) crippled by current technology:
Maps
Encyclopedias/dictionaries/Books
CD’s/DVD’s
Watches
thermometers
can anybody think of anything else?

Through Objective Reasoning it’s hard not to conclude high unemployment is here to stay or worsen. With less industry and growing population it seems inevitable. Of course there can be the “next big thing” if I knew what that was I’d be sitting pretty. Maybe “The Rise and Fall of the American Entrepreneur” shook me up.

As I think about this, I'm not so sure about stationers, as I had thought pen and ink and pencils . But, I realized we would need those for artists and others who create visual images. They would need paper upon which to draw. Then, again, there is CGI and Illustrator (which my daughter will be studying in college). But, still and all, I think manual writing will be with us for a long time. We may lose the elegance of cursive but it will STILL be writing.
