This all depends on what one's definition of "attractive" is. In my view, she most certainly was. Her thoughts, ideas, writings, and foresight have absolutely drawn me, along with millions of others, to her.

hell to the no. I respect Ayn Rand alot for her foresight of the present political state of affairs and ability to point out the holes in the uprightness of self-righteous charity. But the fact remains that her philosophy is built upon selfishness. I think her time in Russian gave her a bitterness that made her fly all the way over to the other side of the moral spectrum, and also why she was such an enemy of christianity which praises humble self-giving. Neither extreme, collectivism and selfishness, is helpful. I find that much of her philosophy was driven by an arrogant bitterness that she harbored from her past. For this reason I find her ideas intriguing and worth thinking about, but in my view they are far from attractive.
