My Global Warming Joke

As I sit here in California I hear our leader argue that we are in serious, long-term, emergency drought. Meanwhile, it's pouring rain endlessly, the rivers are at the tops of the levies, and our tallest dam is falling apart under the heavy use. This has me asking lately, "....So?...Does global warming lead to drought, or floods? I'm confused. Which one is it?"

Global warming is ancient, and climate change is now also passe. The new terminology is "climate disruption." That way, any unusual variation in the weather can be blamed on the "deniers."

      That figures.
"Global warming" was changed to "climate change" so that any "climate disruption" to cause even global cooling could be con game blamed on human activity.
Yeah, that new variation to the scam's propaganda kinda slips on like well-fitting glove.

The scientific reality of AGW is irrelevant to the politician. Its importance lies in its power as a political tool. If a threat can be made to induce tax payers to surrender more of their money it has served its purpose. It doesn't need to be real, only believed.

Love it !!! As I read your statement I almost read it as a poem. Perhaps if you disguise (slight rewrite) it as a poem you might get an answer.

I've been watching climate change year after year, season after season, month after month for 66 years. I guess that makes me an expert in the field. But there's some of you with higher expertise than mine, I'm sure.

I am truly curious, though... Assume Global warming (climate change) is real and that mankind and our actions are responsible for the lion's share of it... Seriously, what can be done and what would you do? Is there anything to be done, and do we really want to do it?

Whenever the weather is bad or unpleasant, that's "climate change". Too hot, too cold, too wet, too dry. It's all climate change, and the only solution is a more powerful government, higher taxes, and less freedom

Since it does not exist, neither drought nor flooding,. Remember the dust bowl, of years past?Climate alternates, and your state officials have let things go to pot in favor of trains to nowhere. They think if they yell global warming, the Feds will rush in with cash, so they spend on lawyers for illegals and let the dams fall apart. Guess they will not be leaving the USA anytime soon! Hey, they are blaming the Russians for everything, maybe their version of HAARP did it!

Every time I hear Moonbeam going off on that, I just chuckle and think "6 or 7 years I'm moving to Idaho, that ranges from Northern to Southern Idaho, if there is anything to this BS, I'll just go a little further north than I would have.".

Jerry is a seditionist, separatist, global warming hoaxist/alarmist, and he's in an on-going denial about how doomed California's finances are. The state is basically $700 billion underwater for promises it can't possibly keep without raising taxes to something like 70% on top of federal income taxes... (and assuming everyone doesn't just leave)... and his biggest worry is Global Warming?

By the way, he's been MIA since the deluge started. Hasn't been to Oroville Dam, hasn't looked at the water 4 feet deep in San Jose, hasn't talked about floods in San Joaquin, etc.

    I agree.
Though I am not a firm believer in anthropogenically caused climate change, I do believe that we have to do the right thing and make as small of a footprint as possible. Even the little things added up will help create a more sustainable future.

The climate is probably going to change slowly, up and down until the lights go out, I have read of swamps and dinosaurs once living in Montana and Wyoming...wouldn't work now. Many blame human overbreeding for the causes of the mess BUT< no one has the guts to suggest a quick, 2 generation, cure even though the science for birth control is proven, simple cheap and available. Hard to believe that humans are so stupid as to breed like rats and eat ourselves out of the best planet I have ever seen. What's the big problem??????

One must realize that MMGW leads to both drought and floods! Often at the same time and in the same locations.

In the same manner Leo Tolstoy leads to "War and Peace", and Philip Dunne brought us "The Agony and the Ecstasy".

Come on dude -- this is "Doublethink" 101...
