It must be my frame of mind but I find this very funny.

This is nothing new. I was sorting my project files and pics (many many) and came across it. I think I have been focused too much on writing lately because I'm finding this hysterical.

I hope you enjoy it!

I may just need sleep. :)

    I laughed.
That did not come from The Far Side. I just checked.
    Love Charles Addams cartoon too.
Expect anyone who'd call himself allosaur to like such things.

    .. When tired, sleep. ..
    But just before, do not:
    eat much,
read Kafka, or George RR Martin.

I research for my novels, play video games and read - when I'm not talking to my development global team.

I get about 4 hours a night. Sometimes the weight of being up for many days with little sleep build to the point where I have to sleep. Yesterday may have been one of those days for me. Even so, I still find that pretty funny today. I suspect its the author in me.

Cute. Of course, as a novelist you could think up any number of scenarios to explain it, as could I, none of them malevolent or scary. This cartoon looks to be a Gahan Wilson piece, so should be scary. That's not a regular size sheet of paper; it's the tip of the tongue of the Cellulosian Grinderbeast. Since it can flatten itself to the thinness of a sheet of paper, it can get through any narrow slot. It can also disguise itself as wallpaper. Is your wallpaper about to descend and devour you? No? Are you sure?

Humor depends on the unexpected. Isaac Asimov wrote a short story that posited humor as an invention of aliens who are studying us. As evidence, he offered the fact that puns make us groan. Puns are spontaneous and individual. You are present when it is created. Jokes like this one "come from nowhere" and seem "universal."
