Audacious: In Rowdy Meeting, Birmingham City Council Unanimously Votes To Become A "Sanctuary City"

Alabama is a red state with a blue dot called Birmingham fifteen minutes away from where I live in one of several "satellite cities" that completely surround Birmingham, Alabama.
By jumping on the sanctuary city band wagon," the also Evil Hag voting B'ham city council was showing out their Jackass Party contempt for anything Donald Trump.
It's kinda coincidental I learned this today after indoor target shooting at Hoover Tactical, Hoover a "satellite city" on the other side of Bama's Blue Dot blemish.
My son wanted to try out his new Sig pistol and I wanted, having no sling when I previously first tried out my modified AR-15 looking 9mm carbine, to improve my aim with what is called a "hasty sling" technique that I wrap my arm into to tighten my overall grip on the weapon.
I was shooting tighter groups today into a human silhouette target.
With "criminals" otherwise called "illegals" or PC feel-good "undocumented" now given the high sign to come on into Birmin'ham, I'll be sure to be practicing with my concealed pocket pistol the next time and every time I go to the range from now on.
It would be the most likely weapon I will use should there be an emergency.

I would think all these sanctuary cities will be between the proverbial rock and a hard place really fast when they lose so much of their federal funding that keeps them going (how quickly the Californians forgot how they avoided their last major financial problem). How long could they support their cities and still be sanctuary cities that illegals (and homeless) would want to come to for their support when there is no support (financially) that these cities can give as sanctuary cities. What happens when their citizens start fleeing when they realize their lives cannot be sustained in these sanctuary cities?

Unfortunately that may not be the case, especially if the city has a nitwit mayor like Mayor DiBlasio of New York city. To be such a mayor, you have to have a screw loose somewhere. The funny part is that in NYC, there must be hundreds of thousands with a screw loose! How else could you end up with such a moron? Sorry, I am incensed by these mindless clowns!

On top of that, how could anyone vote for a complete mindless idiot like "let's pass this bill to see what is in it" Nancy Pelosi?
Yet there she remains 8 years later . . .

If, in deciding to be a sanctuary city, each person who is in favor would have to provide living space and support to more people needing bed and board than he had room for, I bet they'd at least reconsider.

CAMPAIGN FOR YOUR STATE TO PASS A GOOD VERSION OF COLORADO'S TABOR ACT. It says that if taxes get raised by a particular program, that goes to a vote of the citizens who vote.

I think it is time to defund sanctuary cities. I also think that any illegal being protected who crosses the state, city or county boundaries of such entities to commit crime or murder, the entity giving them protection should have to pay in the courts for the harm. These liberals have to see their are consequences to their actions.

The mayor and town councils of all sanctuary cities should be held directly responsible for the crimes their harbored illegals commit.
After all, they have already taken criminal responsibility to creating a sanctuary for illegal aliens in the first place.
A sanctuary city mayor and his council should be considered as about the same as a don with the lieutenants of a Mafia family.
Hell's bells, throw the RICO Act at 'em!
I the me dino has spoken.

There should be a political party that calls for defunding all cities.

That is an interesting comment for an Obama voter.

"That is an interesting comment for an Obama voter."
Since there are no mainstream candidates in favor of rolling back the cost and intrusiveness of the federal gov't, it's an interesting comment for anyone.

            I now see your point.
I'm suddenly curious to see if Trump resets his sights for easing federal intrusion on cities after he's made it easier for businesses to operate.
Oops! Here comes a new thought that I did not have until right now~
Trump's rule for allowing bureaucrats to write one regulation only after getting rid of two may also effect cities.
Well, we have four years . . .

One thing at a time. I would say reduce the federal budget deficit and federal spending first, but his base will see more instant results from bringing back the jobs of 70s. So I say do that first, and then cut spending and borrowing? Maybe the borrowing should be cut at 12.5% per year (assuming eight years) rate. So that's around 80 billion in the FY2018 budet.

Me dino took Economics 101 way back during the late 60s but I'm not going to pretend to be an expert.
I'm all for reducing deficits and spending and cutting out borrowing. That's just common sense when the national debt is beyond outrageous~
                http://www.usdebtclock.org/
I've heard and read about there being too many regulations for just about everything at least since the early 70s.

Keep an eye on the debt. I would consider reducing its growth, even by 15% a year, even not including Social Security and Medicare promises in the calculation, a huge success. My prediction, though, is the the debt clock will be moving up faster in coming years.

The Phoenix city council is presently in the process of debating whether to become a sanctuary city or not. I'm staying quiet.

If these jackasses take this unlawful position I will raise hell to the governor and petition to recall the mayor (who supports it). Further, I will relentlessly harass Trump to yank all federal funding from Phoenix.

This course of action is far better than whats going through my mind, and much less violent.

Hopefully your Governor will have the fortitude of Governor Abbott from the great state of Texas, and make an example out of Phoenix as a message to other cities who might be inclined to follow their lead.

Hopefully, but my governor is not one I'll vote for again.
1.He was presented with a list of pork spending but decided to raise taxes instead. So he turned out to be a RINO.
        2. He cheated on his wife with a government worker while in office.
        3. I heard he was going be be impeached for #2 but somehow the hullabaloo quieted down.
        4. I wish they had impeached him for #1.

Unfortunately, these "feelgood" efforts (I.e., Sanctuary Cities) are just a a diversionary move toward accepting the rule of the international oligarchs through the auspices of the United Nations! The thing that is so sad is that supposedly intelligent people are implementing the tools of their own destruction (philosophically speaking). Whether it is through the United World Federalists, World Federalists International, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderbergers or the CFR (US) and its international counterpart, the lurch to this endgame is well underway. Our Constitution is one Senate vote away from oblivion! Sanctuary Cities are just another nail in the coffin.....
