I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...So glad to have finally reached here. Born in California and 4 moves and now in TN where I find other like-minded patriots! It's amazing to hear President Obama speak because I think he's often quoting Ayn Rand ...... the quotes coming from looters.

The common good we can rally around is defending the Constitution. That is a simple concept but not a simple task.

I have to agree, I found the second movie lacking, but the message is true and needs for people to hear it. I am certainly hoping Atlas shrugged Part 3 is at least as good as the first one, even my wife loved that one and she never knew much about Atlas Shrugged before hand.

One can only the third cast of "Atlas Shrugged" will be better and more consistent than the second. I have never seen a movie so strangely produced.

"The problem with the "free market" is that those in control of it cannot be trusted. Instead of bailing them out they should have been stood by a wall and shot."

There is no one who "controls" a free market, if there were it wouldn't be free. And yes we haven't seen one in a while.
Not sure where your apparent anger comes from, but I would suggest directing it to better outlets like getting Atlas shrugged 3 to the masses.

The problem with the "free market" is that those in control of it cannot be trusted. Instead of bailing them out they should have been stood by a wall and shot. Had that happened the whole world would be different now. With sociopaths in charge of economies throughout the world, I don't see a really free market rising anytime in my life.

True there is much division in the Republican party and we need to find common ground, but I don't believe there are that many Objectivist in the world let alone in the U.S to make that much of a change. In truth that doesn't matter, what matter's is that we all come together on common ground, and that is we do not need more Government telling us how to live our lives. No more Government meddling in the Free market. These are thing we should focus on.

California? You mean the entire country. That is because the Republicans are under the thrall of Christians and yet espouse NO Christian values. A party divided against itself vying with a party united in evil altruism will no longer carry elections anywhere. Objectivists aligned under Objectivist values will replace the Republican party in the next decade. Confusion and cowardice has destroyed the GOP.

Fortunately, I grew up in California with a fantastic Republican governor named Ronald Reagan. California was a pretty conservative state, believe it or not. But the mistake Reagan made as president was immigration reform. California was a gonner after that.
