I'll probably modify the tagline some, but I try to look at the world like Henry Ford: mass production at prices that everyday people can afford.

Actually cooling is the biggest challenge. The laser does come with a pump for water cooling. If the metal cools too slowly, then the printing resolution is compromised.

Thanks for the thought. I hadn't really thought of it as a tagline.

How about this: you get the invention in the marketplace and feel free to use the tagline if you choose with no obligation toward me whatsoever. If it takes off and you become filthy rich (which I fully support), you can pay me back by promoting the principle of intellectual honesty and hard work. :)

Making producers and inventors out of the common man, I may have to give you a royalty on that one.

Yup, saw it and it would be way cool. You could be making Producers and Inventors out of the common man!

I could do the plastic ones now. Currently, metal printers are in the 500-700 thousand dollar range, with upgrades up to a million. If you look at my Producer of the Week post, you'll see that I am working toward making a MUCH cheaper metal printer.

Using plastic or metal? I know that metal-based printers exist, but are very expensive - too expensive for the layman...

I'd like to see the firing accuracy 'cause it's a cool concept.

One should also note that while the primary mechanism was printed the barrel is manufactured.
