I'm a Democrat but Clinton staffer Jennifer Palmieri's twisted logic is exactly why we lost
This is actually the first piece I have seen since the election, where som honest, objective analysis is happening. The D's need to hire this guy for the next round, as he is the first D I have read that was lucid, logical and I think, understood why they lost. Probably why he is on Fox, the rest of them wouldn't allow such treason against "the party"....
Wisconsin 10 electoral votes
Trump beat Hitlery by 27,000 votes
Johnson got 106,500
Michigan 16 electoral votes
Trump beat Hitlery by 11,000 votes
Johnson got 173,000 votes
Pennsylvania 20 electoral votes
Trump beat Hitlery by 68,000 votes
Johnson got 143,000 votes
Florida 29 electoral votes
Trump beat Hitlery by 120,000 votes
Johnson got 206,000 votes
Colorado 9 electoral votes
Trump beat Hitlery by 72,000 votes
Johnson got 129,000 votes
OTOH, Hitlery barely won 24 electoral votes in New Hampshire, Nevada, Minnesota, and Maine by less than Johnson's vote totals there.
Hillary's campaign was well aware that Gary Johnson was cutting into her vote totals. While the Republicans essentially ignored Johnson, the Dems spent millions of dollars on ads saying "Don't vote third party."
It's entirely possible that Gary Johnson's campaign has changed the course of U.S. and world history in a major way.
(Whoa, went off on a major tangent there)
If you remove any one of New York, or Los Angeles, or San Francisco, or Chicago from the total vote count, Trump has more popular vote as well as more electoral votes. Trump won the popular vote outside those cities by almost 5 million votes.
Trump's team knew those cities were a lost cause and didn't waste many resources there. They used reason to determine their strategy, and they won the electoral votes that mattered.
That is the kind of ability to think that is needed in the executive branch. Hitlery, the so called best prepared person for the office, had no such ability to reason, and the majority pf people outside the major cities recognized that as one of Hitlery's many flaws.
At least he hasn't hired wicked Weld.
Considering the job Trump has to do, the priorities to make, and the tools needed, I'm speculating that some selections will be done balancing the candidate's experience, and Trump's perception of the candidate, his ethics, loyalty, and ability to sell his goals.
These jobs are important ones, but Trump's experience is that he can say "You're Fired" and replace any one of them quickly if they disappoint.
I think, on the first day in office, Trump should send a message of how little he approves of government acting against the people and encourage whistle blowers: pardon Edward Snowden.
A lot more intellectual integrity is what is truly needed by those of that political persuasion! The whining by HRC and the rest of those miscreants who bought that dribble is exactly what we have come to expect from these childish, petulant clowns!
Until they grow up and start thinking like rational human beings, they will be wandering in the desert for years. Or, if not and the country starts buying the crap they are selling, then we all will be living in the Orwellian nightmare they seem to desire.
HRC! Will you ever get it?!
person is still a Democrat. But perhaps he will e-
volve into a Republican. (Though with such a non-
free-enterprise sample of a President as Trump, I
doubt it).
This is the sad fact, there is really little difference between the two parties. Both are for the most part controlled by the oligarchs of the world......
As for the "That's how adults behave~" writer of the article, me dino suspects he speaks for a silent not so DimDem as other libs majority.
That's why we have scattered George Soros bankrolled childish angry snowflake protests and not yuge throngs of people marching on Washington DC out to overthrow the government.
Expect the agitators to make it really nasty on January 20, though. Wouldn't be surprised if this involves a rifle with a scope.
"The Russia rigged our election group" many establishment govt. insiders have proven that they are against Trump the outsider, both Dems and Rep.
They tried everything they could to get HRC elected and failed. When the unnamed sources claim Russian election interference, how in the world can the American public prove it is false?
Another thought is don't put damaging, cheating,
Behavior in emails or better would be to act ethically.
As for Exxons CEO as Sos. Some positive points are he doesn't need pay for play as he is an incredibly successful producer.
Exxons Tiller is not Washington establishment.
Russia is a dangerous adversary having a SOS
That knows and has a good relationship with Putin might prove beneficial. Particularly when Trump wants to stamp out ISIS.
Respectfully,
DOB
Smiley Mitt Romney was a turn off even when me dino voted for him to be president.

“Hillary Clinton can make Richard Nixon look like Mahatma Gandhi.”
Andy Jackson was a poor choice of forefathers and not realizing that Black Americans could be just a smart as anyone else was another failure...especially seeing that many out shined Jackson himself before and after the revolution.
No doubt, You outshine any democrat I ever met, some repubs and libertarians as well...makes me question why you identify with that fray.
Someday, I would hope you tell us that story.
I don't yet know what it will take to bring our elections to a point where a third party candidate might ever have a real shot at winning but as long as winning gets the prize I will be sticking with the ones that have a shot.
3rd party voting affects Demicans campaigning, messaging, spending, policies, etc.
Voting Demican is frequently likely a waste if you want any reduced government - most of the time it just affirms the status quo: continued lost of liberty and property, but perhaps a a slightly different rate.
Tell me if you can, Did you not know 5 minutes before you left to vote this time that neither Johnson or Stein had a snowballs chance in hell?
Only when we run a third party candidate with a real message as good or better than the other two will we ever see the winds change in this direction. I have heard all of this hog wash so many times before I am tired of the useless argument for it. As it stands today I am not at all unhappy with the results of this election but I guess you have to ask me again in 4 years. If Johnson had won I suppose we could all just roll another one and go back to sleep.
In my state, CA, no candidate for President had a snowball's chance, other than Hiliary (who actually had the fiery furnace chance in Hell). So the wasted vote issue did not even exist here in CA for our electoral college office.
Although there is a history of US Presidents
(including #1, and #2, and nuclear age POTUS's)
using pot

it is not as big a concern (to me) as alcohol or a bad (or more likely non-existent) philosophy and policy regarding freedoms.
I firmly believe what we really have is a singular party we could name Demopublicans.
for a Republican in a HUGELY heavy Democratic state like California - where in the all or nothing elector vote leaves little motivation for many to vote for the minority candidate.
I do not recall seeing a single Trump ad in CA, which makes perfect sense given the zero chance. If popular vote actually counted at national level then the campaigns (and voting) would have been significantly different.
