I'm a Democrat but Clinton staffer Jennifer Palmieri's twisted logic is exactly why we lost

This is actually the first piece I have seen since the election, where som honest, objective analysis is happening. The D's need to hire this guy for the next round, as he is the first D I have read that was lucid, logical and I think, understood why they lost. Probably why he is on Fox, the rest of them wouldn't allow such treason against "the party"....

Actually in this day and age , world leaders can communicate amongst themselves by phone, text, even facetime

Ver astute. The early presidents used them as messenger boys, and let them make the arrangements since it took months to communicate. Maybe we don't need one..except as a fall guy..

The recent SOS people have just wasted money on nothing. Happy to see them go. In this day and age inter country negotiations are more about trade and cooperation than outright invasions. No country wants to see other countries invade anyone and they gang up to stop the invasions. I think Trump is probably right to put a business oriented person in as SOS to make good deals for us.

About as much use as this bloated, out of control, liberal/progressive run State Department! They do not represent this country but rather the oligarchs of the NWO. Look at the idiots we have had running things, creating chaos only benefiting those who wish to implement a global government! For what its worth!

Unfortunately, the R's as lost as the D's on many of these issues. They are almost as clueless as the rank and file D's.....

This is the sad fact, there is really little difference between the two parties. Both are for the most part controlled by the oligarchs of the world......

    1) I wonder just of what use is a Secretary of State. Hillary did nothing. Kerry has done nothing. It's the presidents of the countries that agree on things. Trump can do more by picking up the phone and talking with them. People are tribal, but today tribes need to cooperate and get along with respect for each other. No one wins through wars in this age- ww 1 and ww 2 are good lessons. The USA should stick up for itself with other countries and stay out of their business. Just my thoughts...

Treasury was more of the same banksters, too.
At least he hasn't hired wicked Weld.
Considering the job Trump has to do, the priorities to make, and the tools needed, I'm speculating that some selections will be done balancing the candidate's experience, and Trump's perception of the candidate, his ethics, loyalty, and ability to sell his goals.
These jobs are important ones, but Trump's experience is that he can say "You're Fired" and replace any one of them quickly if they disappoint.
I think, on the first day in office, Trump should send a message of how little he approves of government acting against the people and encourage whistle blowers: pardon Edward Snowden.

Remember, Putin also eliminated 90% of the oligarchs in Russia who had amassed a huge amount of wealth in the post crash Russia. He wasn't nice about it either. All their money was sucked up into vague government run shells like GazProm. You can bet Vlad has a sizable secret nest egg....wouldn't want any of Trumps buddies to think they need one too, these guys can have 2 billion dollars and think they need 2 billion more....Would be fine if they produced and earned it, but a majority just sort of "stumble" into it.

DOB, those are indeed good, valid points. My first thought was this has all been a giant manipulation by the KGB, to get Trump elected, get a sympathetic government in place that allows Putin free reign. It actually would be a good Tom Clancy novel plot. Putin was KGB forever, it seems and stepped in when Russia was getting to civilized and friendly, and his government is not known for it's adherence to any laws either. Anyone who can "work well" with him is not on my "I am confident of" list. I am an old suspicious type, there is a lot of big money interests getting in the game now.

    Hi Nickursis,
"The Russia rigged our election group" many establishment govt. insiders have proven that they are against Trump the outsider, both Dems and Rep.
They tried everything they could to get HRC elected and failed. When the unnamed sources claim Russian election interference, how in the world can the American public prove it is false?
Another thought is don't put damaging, cheating,
Behavior in emails or better would be to act ethically.
As for Exxons CEO as Sos. Some positive points are he doesn't need pay for play as he is an incredibly successful producer.
Exxons Tiller is not Washington establishment.
Russia is a dangerous adversary having a SOS
That knows and has a good relationship with Putin might prove beneficial. Particularly when Trump wants to stamp out ISIS.
    Respectfully,
    DOB

Do not limit yourself to just the Dumbocraps. It would be a mistake to sell the Republicrats short on this, they have practiced the same strategy, it is politics as usual. The Internet has made it harder, but also easier to sabotage the other guy, look at the " he harassed" me crap they rolled out in August/September, which did not work as planned, look at how a fake news story can be bought off as truth, look at how fast any story, tweet or picture can go "viral". Those who think they can control the beast do not understand exponential math.....The Internet has introduced a completely different dynamic, one that the HRC gang did not understand.

    Gotta laugh at that:

Agreed, but his current "choice" is a complete mind boggling question mark. The CEO of Exxon is not what comes to mind when looking for a Sec State, especially when he made a deal with Putin for 500 BIllion and was voted "Best Friend of Mother Russia". That just feeds the "Russia rigged our election" crowd.

Remember, he is a writer and makes a living off this, so maybe he just realized someone wanted something unique for once, after they spent 3 weeks with the "we was robbed" gang.......

Be careful here, the "lies" are not limited to the Dumbocraps, remember Nixon? Party politics are not good vs evil, even though it seems we have drifted that way, it may be evil vs more evil.

I wouldn't break out the champagne yet, maybe a beer to celebrate the fact it isn't the Beast.

Thats because the whole political system (both parties) have evolved into a drug addiction equivalency. Two major blocks are relying on one party or another to "give them what they want, for free. The people are caught in the middle as this election clearly showed. Most of the middle went to Trump because they knew Hillary Beast was a lost cause. That doesn't mean we will be any better off, nor have I seen anything yet that says Trump can accomplish any of his promises either. His Sec State choice is particularly obnoxious and mind boggling. Exxon CEO? Really?

Jill Stein is a whole nother story of crazy. Less than 1% and wanting a recount? To prove the system is corrupt or rigged or? Really. If it is corrupt won't you get the same corrupt results for the recount? The Dems seem to like "recount till the result is what you want" and I have seen a couple examples (Washington State comes to mind), but in her case, it wasn't even an option. Pure theater.

Please do not let this Clinton staffer gain any authority in the Dem party. He thinks logically and reasonably. Conservatives like me cannot afford someone like that helping the Dems. They might come to power again.

She is really something. I hope the lib-tards just keep going over the top. In four years, with a rebounded economy, they will have no credibility, even with the hamsters.

You must mean..."Old Fashioned" democrat...although even then, equality and the ideal democracy were failed memes.
Andy Jackson was a poor choice of forefathers and not realizing that Black Americans could be just a smart as anyone else was another failure...especially seeing that many out shined Jackson himself before and after the revolution.

No doubt, You outshine any democrat I ever met, some repubs and libertarians as well...makes me question why you identify with that fray.

Someday, I would hope you tell us that story.
