Whether we like it or not, Russia is the largest land mass country on earth. They have nuclear weapons, and they can use them. Its necessary to deal with them effectively. Was it so bad that Reagan was friendly with Gorbachev? That turned out pretty good. Calling them out like Hillary and Obama did, wasnt effective at all.
I applaud Trump for his approach with Russia. Peace through strength, and always talking with the enemy to find ways that both can survive.
Satire aside, it's time we made the attempt to see things from Russia's perspective. A large, underpopulated country with no natural barriers to invasion, it has a bit of paranoia resulting from suffering numerous invasions. Bill Clinton, in a bonehead move, pushed NATO right in Russia's face as their military was in a state of collapse. That, more than anything else, made Vladimir Putin a desirable figure to the Russian people.
Is Russia a kleptocracy? Unquestionably, but thanks to Wikileaks, we're quickly discovering our government power elite are at least as corrupt.
Hillary's attempt to recreate the Cold War would be a disaster, possibly leading to a dangerous potentially nuclear conflict.
Ukraine would have been fine if the U.S. Presidents (Clinton, Bush) hadn't interfered in the Ukraine-Russia relations. Both Clinton and Bush stated their desire to bring Ukraine into NATO, which could have meant the loss of Black Sea ports in Crimea for Russia. When the elected leader of Ukraine came out against joining the EU (maybe he was prescient as to what a crap organization that has become?), preferring stronger economic connections to Russia, we helped engineer a coup that placed an anti-Russian government in charge.
There are always two sides to every story, and we seem to have a talent for feeding Russian paranoia. The one Mediterranean port available to the Russian navy is Latakia, Syria, so our constantly trying to engineer the overthrow of Bashar Assad hasn't set well with the Russians either.
Don't forget a very large part of geographic Ukraine, especially the Eastern half, is populated with Russians who are very pro Putin. Therefore, when you say "Ukraine's perspective" it also includes the perspective of the country's Russian people.
There's far more involved in the Ukraine situation and it isn't as simple as a Putin land grab, IMHO.
First we would have to allow the States in the USA (aka USSA, United Socialist States of America) to secede. (Last time a secession here happened, the North hammered the South.)
Then we can see what would happen, if for instance, California invaded New Mexico. ..or if liberal Coastal CA invaded N.CA united with Northern NV, UT, WY, ND, SD, and Idaho.
Doc, I am afraid that we have known that our government is totally corrupt for a while now, ARE knew it when she wrote AS. The vast majority of America actually believes the crap they feed us, so we are still a small minority. The only hopeful sign is it is all out in the open now. All they have to do is complete the revelation and declare the Republicrat part corrupt for us to be able to start talking a whole sale overhaul. The Convention of States is gathering steam....
A vote for Trump is a vote for Putin, I know you guys don't have much choice, Why not write your own candidates name on the ballot paper, So John Gault for president?
Let's see: peaceful relations with the second most powerful nuclear power on the planet, or a possible nuclear exchange thanks to an idiot with a bad foreign relations track record. Seems like an easy choice for me.
Bingo Doc! Too bad I fear there are way too many sheeple wanting to have a feel good moment when they know the one who promised free everything gets the throne, and then "ooops" never delivers. They had it with the Obamanation, and they will have it with The Beast, as long as she lasts, then, I believe, they will have it with Emperor Kaine. There is way too much clear cut corruption that no one cares about going on, I think there are very powerful forces at work here, with lots and lots of money and power pushing it's own agenda. I could be wrong, it could just be that they have grown so arrogant, and feel they own enough of the system, for anyone to stop them now.
Besides, there is no factual connection, that is a Dumbocrapic propaganda line. There is no objective proof that there is a connection. You can say "A vote for HillaryBeast is a vote for illegal voting" and be more accurate.
If you have two powerful countries and one has a strong leader and the other a wuss, there can only be disaster for the wuss' side. On the other hand, if you have two strong leaders with the sense to know how far you can go, then you usually end up with a compromise that both can live with. Putin will respect strength. He will not respect Madam Secretary. He has already shown that with previous dealings with her. (Do I see a reset button?) Please vote Trump on Tuesday. Thank you.
he doesn't respect the Obamanation either, look at how hey have handled Syria. Total ineptitude for 8 years, and we are in greater danger now than then. Yep we need 8 more years of "progress" down the toilet hole.
Putin doesnt want war with the USA, and we dont want war with Russia. Whats wrong with at least talking openly instead of the "hidden nonsense" that Hillary's secretary of state engaged in.
If Putin and Trump can talk, whats wrong with that? Reagan and Gorbachev talked and that worked out. All the while Reagan was building up our military, which is what Trump would do too.
I to am fine with Trump and Putin talking. Every time I see Clinton's lips move I already know she is lying. Just now I heard her say she loves this country. No Shit, she has sold half of it!
This fits perfectly with the theory on Straight-Line Logic that if the election goes Trump's way tomorrow the internet will be taken off line and much of the nation will lose the power grid - and all will be blamed on Putin. Then the election will be declared invalid due to "Russian" interference. And it will all be crap.
Having seen doofuses interviewed on Watter's World, that could well be, but this bit had me laughing my head off~ "Putin, whose English is rudimentary at best, kept his remarks brief, but echoed Melania Trump's recent call for an end to bullying."
This is blatant satire that speaks truth to an underlying disqualifying aspect of Lord Trump's character -- authoritarianism.
History shows that all authoritarians instantly notice each other and have instant respect for each other (like the bromance between Putin and Emperor Trump...). Why? Because they value unbridled, unprincipled "Strength" as if it is a virtue. That's why they constantly talk about "strong" leaders, "strong" policy responses, etc... It matches their bullying nature and desire to dominate and control other people.
I enjoyed this satire, because it pokes fun at authoritarians like King Trump who are a danger to all people who truly value natural individual freedom...
Hillary is the king figure, as was Obama. Not Trump. Obama demanded Snowden be returned, and Putin thumbed his nose at Obama. Hillary tried to get him booted from presidency, and look where that went.
If you are going to have a country at all, it needs borders and strength to keep from being over-run. Just look at history to see that.
Sorry Robert, but I cannot believe Hillary Beast is not a bigger threat to our freedom, only she is slimy, sneaky and a congenital liar. I can't handle the arrogant abrogation of law and political skew for their own purpose of the last 8 years. Trump may be a buffoon, but he is a totally different buffoon, which would derail the status quo, they would spend years buying new influence.
Hillary will get us into situations where war is the only answer she will see. She will back into them through stupidity. Just take her no-fly zones in syria. We demand no russian planes fly there, they ignore her demand, and we are forced to shoot one down. NOW ww3 could easily erupt from that.
Imagine if Hillary would have been president during the 'cuban missile crisis"- she would have waited until the missiles were actually operational while she was "talking", and then she would have had a war on her hands.
It is not a news report. "Get news satire from The Borowitz Report delivered to your inbox." This is the ultra-liberal New Yorker's lame attempt at satire. Instead of covering Hitlery's real traitorous acts, they instead publish lies about Trump and Putin. The New Yorker does know how to manipulate their idiot readers.
"It is not a news report." Yep, picked up on that as soon as it put Putin in Tampa. Bad satire, but it is a great piece of propaganda propagating the Hildebeast lie trying to connect Trump and Putin.
It reminds me of when I hear liberals falsely quoting Sarah Palin when they say "I can see Russia from my house!", which was actually said by Tina Fey on SNL mocking Palin.
You are indeed correct, if this doesn't support is "corrupt media is trying to rig election" theory here is some more on the Beasts attempts, and the New Yorker must be in on it fully.

Well, I fell in the cess pool hook, line and sinker, although I failed to see any real satire or humor in it, more of an attempt to take Clintons stories and push them to the level of truth.
You would of had me if I didn't get the extra hours sleep last night...saved by the line at the bottom..."a comedian that has written for the new yorker"
The voice in my head was screaming:...this has got to be bull...I would of seen this!
Putin knows Hillary is a loose canon, and he cares about his country. He has to know about her brain damage and her erratic behavior, even if our stupid voting public does not. As a leader, communision aside, I respect Puting about 10 times more than Hillary. She is nothing more than a big mouth cackling broad, with a foul mouth and little else to fall back on. She is not as smart as the con man Bill. She lies, braks laws, and sets peopel against people to get what she wants. Putin knows Trump will function as a measured businessman, but he won't get the chance.
Along with Putin there is a reanimated Ronald Reagan set to appear at the last moment. Actually there's not too much animation and his mouth moves with strings. Fortunately there are many recorded speeches and quips to use.
