I sometimes get him confused with Dr. Spock.
However, while he makes an interesting character for SciFi a creature without emotion is as frightening as one that is only emotion.

Hello again Herb7734. Actually, Mr. Spock and his Vulcan race have very deep emotions. They control the emotions, but they feel. They also feel that we humans must learn to control our emotions before we destroy ourselves and everyone else in the universe. "Reality" is the only reality--there is logic and there is love--and, yes, the Vulcan race feels love more deeply than we humans will ever understand. Thanks mkosicki for that great post-it!!

You are obviously a Star-Trekie. While I've enjoyed the Star Trek franchise, I've never been inclined to look into it that deeply. I guess I was never that interested in the back stories. Reminds me of Alexander Woolcott's review of a book about Antarctica, "It told me really more than I wanted to know about penguins.".

Sorry about that, Herb7734. I am not really a Trekkie--I just happen to love science fiction in most of its forms. I have a very wide reading list of subjects, though, and my interests are never-ending. That's what I like about this group--always something to think about after I log on. :)
