Set in 2084, Shadows Live Under Seashells is a frighteningly relevant look at the fears that we allow to guide our decisions today and their impact on the future of the United States and, ultimately, all of mankind. The story follows the life of Elliot Fintch, a man raised in a new world order and taught to think, act, and conduct himself as the Administration, mankind's single governing body, dictates. Elliot, because if his profession as an Eductor - a creative thinker - is sent to Mars to investigate a string of murders that have been quietly occurring on the Red Planet for decades. To continue advancing in his profession and maintain favor with the Administration, Elliot must discover why these murders are happening. He must workout how they can be stopped before they become known to the public and raise questions about the Administration's legitimacy to govern.

Shadows Live Under Seashells is a story of one mans enlightenment in what some would consider a Utopian society. It exemplifies the notion that although a seashell may look ornate, bright, and beautiful on the beach, there is always a shadow underneath that could be hiding something ugly, dangerous, or even threatening.

UPDATE: Physical book sales of Shadows Live Under Seashells has just surpassed 100. Granted, I'm not getting rich but at least people are reading. (eBooks, between giveaways and sales, are in excess or 19,000).

    Thanks to everyone!

Thank you for the high praise. I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to read my work. As far as typo's and grammatical errors there were more than a few and they have been, and will keep being, corrected as I'm made aware of them. Thanks again!

I have this book going in parallel with two other books. I like this one. I love the genre. I esp like SLUS b/c it really seems believable. It's not so over-the-top that the reader can't imagine things getting this bad this fast. SLUS is frighteningly easy to imagine.

I'm about half way done and have not noticed any grammatical errors or typos.

I owe MikeMarotta a debt of gratitude for reading Shadows Live Under Seashells, identifying some grammatical errors and some word processor related errors and giving them to me to make adjustments to my manuscript.

I'm at 56%. Elliot is interacting with Thomas. I love it. I'm a stickler for grammar issues in published works, and I'm fearful that despite my willingness to overlook them because they are irrelevant to the quality of the story, others might not be so willing. I'd be honored to proofread future publications. Please feel free to PM me if you desire any such service free of charge.

Past the halfway point, myself, now. and I am impressed with the writing style. All stories are about the present. Science fiction, historical romance, westerns, and fantasy, are all understandable because they are about us here and now.
