Just because I will turn 65 early next year, I am being FORCED to sign up for medicare...even though I am Not retiring, even though I am covered by the VA and even though I want Nothing to do with this program.

There is nothing valuable for me in medicare...I'll never use it...yet I am being forced to pay in for the sake of everyone else.

How are we supposed to take care of ourselves if we are forced to take care of everyone else.

Does anyone know how I can get out of this, without dying and without leaving the country and denouncing my citizenship.

It's not the medicare your forced into it's the secondary carrier ...if you don sign up right away they tack on a penalty of about a extra 200. a year for every year you missed ...they will take it right out of your SS check .

Carl, you will only have to pay if you choose part B. If you choose only part A, the hospital part, you don't have to pay.

I do the insurance billing for a doctor, and when I bill medicare claims I have to bill some $0.01 codes that we don't get paid for, but they report whether or not you are a smoker, drinker etc. We do not get paid for these charges, but once or twice a year they send us a check. When the AR lady asked me which category to put the payment in Quickbooks, I asked if she had a category for bribes.

After filling a claim patients will start getting a questionnaire to fill out about there entire experience with that doctor visit and the doctor will be reimbursed according to his reviews.

    Insert many nasty words here.

So am I...from what I got from CMS Blue cross is that it will cost me 106.00 a month paid quarterly...all for nothing valuable. All I wanted was coverage for an emergency like a broken leg or bad cut.
Not to mention...other that one of the emergencies above, there is Nothing allopathic medicine can do for me...Nothing I want them to do for me. I can take care of myself that way.
The VA takes care of a yearly check up and some advice from a Dr. that has Natural Medicine experience.

Every military retiree is forced into it at a cost of $100 a month or so. If you don't sign up they aren't allowed to pay your retirement pay nor let you have the Tricare For Life which was promised at no cost. - back when they needed cannon fodder.

I just got the info in the mail. I'll be 65 in January. Still looking it over but I can't find anything that costs me that I can't opt out if I choose. Still researching.

In 10 years I'll be in the same position as you and I have no desire to sign up.

Have they come to your door with a gun yet?
