    Uhm... you have to qualify your question... are you talking about moochers and looters sleeping at home, in bed, or on the job?

    So long as you do the edit before the ability ends (30 secs?) you don't need to identify that it was edited. I'm not sure if the post is directly viewable or is only so after the edit period ends (probably the latter, if I were designing the system).

    Ahh...now you come near the key bit.

    The key to lying with statistics is picking the right scenario for your modelling.

    They aren't going to tell you how they derive the numbers or data sources.

    If they said for instance, we got this from the Bureau of Labor....well naturally nearly all of us would ignore it as the bovine excrement it would be.

    So instead they say nothing usefull about how they derive the numbers.

    They are averages. So, for every productive person working 8, 9, 20 hours per day, there is another loafing for 8, 9, 20 hours per day.

    Given the employment picture, Americans spending twice as much time sleeping as working does not really seem surprising.

    How much time do you think that the productive actually spend sleeping vs. the looters and moochers? As my title says, this is the lie of the averages. If you put one foot in boiling water and the other in ice water, on average things are fine.
