I've just seen the movie Trumbo. It is about the cold war Hollywood communist blacklist. The portrayed screenwriters were members of the communist party, and the overall message (not unexpected) was how they suffered and were victimized.

At one point, the main character is trying to explain to his young daughter what a communist is. In summary, he says it is about voluntary sharing with those less fortunate! I cannot decide if this scene was trying to show Trumbo as naive, or if they are treating today's audience as naive.
