Can I have a do-over and NOT read that instead. It was painful. SHE, and many like her, are what's wrong with America. Frightening. (But it IS the Huff Po after all.) And shouldn't the whole "race card" be retired already? It's so flimsy, and worn out and see-thru. (Oh..and pointless.)

Really! I mean I thought Jessie Jackson was the only one who still had that card in his pocket that is all wrinkled up from being washed with his close so many times you can't read it any more.

Yes it is VERY old. I think he recently xeroxed some copies of his creased and faded R C and handed them out. Very hard to decipher or make sense of, but that might just be because it's no longer relevant.

I personally think Atlas Shrugged is a fantasy. Its a very cool and good fantasy one I would like to get as close to in society as we can. (By this I mean the society in the gulch, not the society of decay).

The proper, right world in which government is not even needed because all people are honest and fair with one and other no government would be needed. This should be the goal of every society on earth.

This author has a basic problem that many have. They revolt against exactly what they want because they see it as impossible, as a fairy tail.

My marriage is in its 23rd year and while it has never been sleeping beauty good, it has been pretty dam close. If you want sleeping beauty good then you have to work at it, and work at it and you may never get there, but you will get dam close.

On a larger scale the same is true of any civil society. To remain so requires work, freedom and the responsibility that comes with it. The fairy tail cannot be reality because if it could be, it would be her own fault she has not obtained it and she would then have to work for it.

The reality is you may never get it, but isn't life much better if your trying than if you have written something off as unachievable?

Nicely said, everything takes work. Nothing just falls in your lap, not even relationships. The people who say "we are destined to be together" think that their relationship was made from somewhere else by somebody else, and that they don't have to work to make the relationship work, because God made the relationship to begin with. Those are the poor souls that wonder why their spouse sleeps around on them while they look for a marriage advisor to help them keep their relationship together.

That poor girl, she is looking at the world as though she was trying to look a reflection of herself in a pond of water that is distorted with waves breaking the surface giving herself framented images of what she looks like. She has been raised on progressive ideas and is unable to grapple with the message of Atlas. But like she said, she likes fairy tales, and it is obvious that she sees freedom from governent to be as rediculous as Cindarella fitting into a glass slipper. Sad, to see such hopes gone from such young people where the only defense she can come up with to atone for her lack of understanding is to make it about race.
